Paul R Tregurtha, known as "Queen of the Great Lakes" because of her size, got a late start to her season due to extra repairs that were discovered as needed during winter layup. After departing Superior loaded with coal to start her season on April 23, 2024, she arrived at the Soo Locks for the first time this season during sunset on April 24, 2024, downbound to St.Clair.
