Because money can't buy talent or pleasant personality traits, and education only to a certain extent, if the person has enough intelligence; look at Harry, went to an expensive school, learned nothing. Even her calligraphy skills are mediocre, she can only write in one style. I wonder if she even knows any other font, she likely wouldn't know what "fraktur" even means if she was asked to do it.

I've never understood her obsession with the titles. She has no connections to the royals and Diana. She doesn't get invited to any big events. Luxury brands don't want anything to do with her. She doesn't work for them anymore, so no one important is interested in associating with her. Maybe if H married a famous actress like Angelina Jolie, then she could have turned it into something big. M has no skills, charm, talent, initiative, class... It's just pointless. Why would anyone buy cheap knockoff royal jewels from her? I guess she could do something with QVC, but that's pretty low. We recently saw William with his cousins. He also has Catherine and their beautiful children at home. This is the future of the monarchy and there's no Sussex in sight.

I don't either other than they must be making her feel important. She wanted her children to have titles so everyone would curtsey to her children. She's really lost it and needs to stay out of the public eye, and then people might take her seriously if she actually focuses on something.

@@carolyndymond4065 That's also weird to me. They live in America. We don't acknowledge titles, with the exception of royals making an official state visit, or anything like that here. We have royals from all over the world who live and work here and we don't bow down to them or use their full titles when speaking to them. No one will be doing that royal stuff for her "children" nor will they tolerate any elitist behavior. Can you imagine if they went to high school and demanded curtseying and being called by their full titles? They will get a harsh dose of reality by their peers. Raising them to be that way won't help them for the future.

Good point. I would insist on irrefutable proof of birth for both children before agreeing to any kind of settlement. Maybe that’s the delay in the divorce-she’s definitely planning to use the children as her meal ticket but maybe that’s being thwarted.

You are right Diana did have a settlement BUT it wasn’t the amount she asked for and she was the mother to an heir to the throne so had a strong negotiation stand, but I think she eventually got a far bit less than she asked for.
