Two days ago, my uncle and his family were on the beach when they noticed a pirate ship with smoke bursting out of it. My uncle called my mom to relay the message to me. She said, "Kyle, there's a pirate ship near the beach!"
I was like, "Hm, pirate ship or sleep. I'll choose sleep."
It wasn't until later that it was on the news saying that they were actually filming Pirates of the Caribbean 4 of of the island of Oahu (where I stayed).
My younger cousin and I, since we both missed it, were fairly upset.
LUCKILY, while we were packing up to leave Hawaii, my brother goes out onto the balcony and screams, "THERE IT IS!"
I was like, "whaaaat?"
"The BLACK PEARL!"
So I grabbed my camera and filmed this. It was docked in a small private harbor next to our hotel. When we drove by it, it's almost impossible to recognize it since they tried to hide it from the public, obviously.
Oh, by the way, my dad was filming it also so you might hear him talking in the background.

That's Queen Anne's Revenge. She was just returned to Ko Olina after spending the last month at Heeia Pier on the Windward side of Oahu. Too bad you were on Oahu earlier, there was a lot of production going on all the month of July and lots of Johnny Depp sightings when he came out almost every night to shake hands, take pictures and sign autographs. Production wrapped up about a week ago and the Hawaii crew production party was last week.
@KhunPamela1963 Oh... Thanks for telling me. Even though I'm kinda upset that it's not the Pearl, it's a good thing that now I know to change the title. Well, at least the ship is actually in the movie, ya?
@Kfo00793 No worries, it's a common mistake. At least you got to say you saw it firsthand. She has been in Hawaii since February being retrofit for the filming and will probably be there in Ko Olina again for a while in dry dock to remove all the special effects parts that took them four months to put on.
