The Qatar Blockade | Start Here

All GCC nations will be sending teams to the Arabian Gulf Cup in Doha after Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE initially boycotted the games.
The football tournament is happening despite an ongoing land, sea and air blockade on Qatar, that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt imposed in June, 2017.
But the rift started long before then. Here's what happened.

I think there's a subconscious message to it. Notice how she goes from a room neatly designed but full of objects to an open space, then back to the room again. I think it's representing our, the viewers, ideas of the subject at hand. We begin the video with some misunderstanding of the issue (thus, watching it), and our preconceived notions of it, then it is cleared out, and the information is given to us in a clean and "unbiased" way (the part where she's in the open space, free of clutter), which eventually leads to us being brought back to the same room, in the beginning, to make our own conclusions about the subject. I could be wrong though, but the format seems intentional, at least to me.

That seems like a pattern for these videos. The intro and outro are in one room, where she closes her laptop after the intro, perhaps representing research, the reporting is on the presentation chair. No reason to read too much into it.

While I really do love the Al Jezeera network, note they are often quick to broadcast issues from other countries but you will never see them do so against issues against the Qatar government. I’ve meet Qatari’s who have talked told me about the situation and they mentioned things like; destroying cars and property, slathering camels, owened by Qataris that ended up being left in Saudi due to the blockade. And i’m sure there are many other incidents. If al Jezeera wanted to have a bias they could haven easily added more stories from locals

What you failed to mention was Qatar provided coordinates of the coalition camp to the Houthis just before Qataris left which later was attacked by a cruise missile resulting in an massacre of over 200 soldiers. That’s a stab in the back never to be forgotten!!!!!!

Qatar boom after the blockade and made them self reliant. They have developed enough agriculture assets for their own consumption and noted that if things will further improved they might start to export some of these produce. Qatar might not need the GCC as of the moment. Another thing is, jealousy started all of their diplomatic disputes. How sad.

While I usually highly appreciate the content AJ English creates even knowing there is an authoritarian regime behind the channel (so I just take everything here with a pinch of salt), this is one of the worst examples of how not to do journalism. You can make a piece about your own channel and about your owner, but that's political communication, pr, propaganda (call it whatever you like), and these kind of contents may have their place in society, but they do not belong to a news channel.
