Bounty Adams lol same thing ? Are you aware of what it means to play instruments in a band? They knew beforehand that Adam would do the vocals and the rest would play the instruments...A band such as Maroon 5 does a collective work on song-writing/producing their songs and the singer does like the 50% of the total work...It's a collective work though. On the other hand The pussycat dolls were sold as a girl group even though Nicole was the only vocalist...the rest of the girls were just dancing puppets to be honest even thought they were presented as vocalists of the group...none of them wrote their songs- they didn't even take part in the production of the songs.

Carmit was also given more vocals at the start of their recording group journey, with some of those original more "fair" lyrical distributions ending up on the album with Tainted Love, Went as far as we felt like going, and Hot Stuff. Once Kaya left and they began focusing on their big singles, that was where the attention was pushed on to Nicole 100% with some backup and adlibs from Carmit and Melody scattered throughout. Ashley, Kimberly, and Jessica were there to primarily be dancers though, you aren't wrong about that.

if youre aware of how PCD came to be, it will make sense, Nicole was scouted by will.I.am to be part of Black eye peas, but she rejected she wanted to pursue her solo career (she was previously in a group as well) Eden's crush, so through will i am she was introduced to interscope records. but one of the higher ups wanted to do Pussycat dolls group (an actual name of a burlesque dance group). so they form what we know as the Pussycat dolls with Nicole as the lead singer
