The animation is gorgeous!!
The fox riding on the family's car inspired that scene from Cape Fear and you can't convince me otherwise
What an amazing old cartoon.
I love those cute puppers though 😍😍
Is anyone else disgusted at the amout of garbage the family leaves behind in the end?

I’m more curious as to why a family like this would picnic in an area where there is fox hunting going on! Isn’t anyone worried about being shot?

Gracias por volver a ver este animado. Lo disfruté mucho
6:01 remembers me that scene scene in the disney's movie the fox and the hound when Tod and Copper fights
This is a splendid piece of animation (and the bloodhound steals the show).
I hate how in cartoons and in animated shows such as these where wild canines like wolves and foxes are seen as villains but their domesticated counterparts are seen as good guys

But that's logical, some are wild animals who would attack you if you go around their area, the others (dogs) would protect you if yo'ure their owner

@cupcakedoce956 domestic dogs are one of the top 10 animals that kill the most people daily. Statistically speaking, You are more likely to be mauled by someone's unrestrained pitbull than a shy coyote

I mean not every cartoon/animated show portrays wild canines as bad guys I mean there are quite a few good examples out there where wild canines are actually good guys

@@cupcakedoce956exactly it is quite logical if you think about it I mean this comment is quite dramatic about it tho in my opinion not yours but the other comment

@lazylaziness1352 Have you ever walked by someone's fence, and then out of nowhere, a large dog charged at you and barked at you in loud earshot? As if trying to bite? _it happens all the time_ Not even a coyote or a wolf would ever do that. Most of them would have run away at the sight or sound of humans
As cunning as always the fox leaving all chasers exhausted and showing them that he will remain as it is CUNNING
These two pups were the original rough and ready. Yes, Bill Hannah and Joe Barbera actually stole the names from Harmon and icing who created these two pups. At least that’s what I heard down the line. I don’t know necessarily if it’s true, but it’s a shame that they weren’t given the names of rough and ready. It sure would have been nice if they concentrated more on these two pups then on the redesigned Bosco, and we know how they re-design Bosco. At any rate, it is my hope and it will always be my hope that Warner Bros. figures out that they can actually release a complete happy harmonies set, including this cartoon and all the other cartoons I’ve discussed here. MGM cartoons are the best!

2:49 This part looks like "Dr. Suess' Green Eggs and Ham" but in Rudolf Ising style from MGM Cartoon.
a Pluto look alike appears in this cartoon, as well as Tanner roaring like Coffee due to yep The MGM crew phasing out Coffee.

that's quite intresting that one of the MGM lions was named Tanner as that is my surname

Not me.
Why take little domesticated beasts on a picnic, where they will steal your food and MAYBE even get gobbled up by a hungry wild animal, too? 😐
The yellow dog from there looks like Pluto, but MGM Cartoon style from Rudolf Ising.
