Your academy of ideas transmits or broadcasts LIES or DECEIT mixed with TRUTH which makes the message "DECEITFUL" and made your "Academy of Ideas" an "Academy of Deceit". It is true that HUMANS ARE IMPERFECT. Therefore "obedience" by humans (which are imperfect), obedience and submission / compliance to other humans which are imperfect as well, therefore DECEITFUL (in all that there is no perfection, there is corruption, a false (deceit) sense of doing good while doing evil) , leads to tragedies / misfortune / genocide, ... and so on. The opposite is also true when not submitting, not being obedient to what is PERFECT, is also true that brings tragedies, misfortune, genocide. So in order to help an Atheist mind to receive at least a little bit of wisdom from 'The Source of All Wisdom' (YHVH The EternaL [EL],) wisdom which brings truth that sets any slave of The Deceiver, free : it must be said that "The universe being so big (with billions of galaxies that has billions of solar systems each that has billions of stars and planets each (so then it results in billions of billions and surely billions of planets), it is ignorance and stupidity for anyone to say and to deceive that humans are alone in the universe or that there is no Perfect Being which is "The Creator and The Source" and to whom obedience is due and the very reason for which this planet is at the brink of destruction and the reason for ALL THE TRAGEDIES ON EARTH that has ever been and will ever be, is NON-obedience and the non-submission of the imperfect human creatures to, ... You will either submit and obey EL YHVH, (NOT HUMANS) but YHVH EL (IL) or suffer the consequences especially in the other dimension. Is not about obedience into slavery. It appears to me that you have already chose the latest 'The Deceiver' since you mixed truth with deceit to lead others astray. There is nothing else to choose in between since in between YHVH EL and HaSatan Allah "The Deceiver, "A Great Deceiver" and "The Destroyer" as he calls himself in his very own book, and which I also call "The Master of Deceit", (in between one and the other) is void and souls caring the human 'energy mind' containing the energy DNA of yourself to be awake back to life but not in flesh but rather in energy, you as a soul, canNOT do anything other than to ascend toward EL Yahveh (if empowered by EL YHVH (abreviated EL Yah) because of your trust in MessiYah, or if slave of Allah or slave of Darwin or of Buddha, descend toward "The Deceiver also called The Destroyer" creator of all "fake" religions since by deceit comes destruction sooner or later followed by total self-destruction in the other dimension when hell and death will be erased just as EL YHVH mentioned in the Instruction of Yah (in hebrew Torr'ah nicknamed by the Greeks "bible"; but until then, time will run so slow that it will be as if "an eternity" especially for the creatures in agony that chose to be slaves of The Deceiver also called "The Agonizer" or "The Torturer" and "The Destroyer". If YHVH EL were to program humans and turn them into robots, then there won't be any love and EL could not call EL'Self "The Lord of Love" for every creature that choose to be EL's lover in respect, trust, truth, kindness, goodness, wisdom, ....and so on and on, in every good thing not according to imperfect humans what is good but according to "The Perfect One - YHVH EL" what is good. Go and do whatever you may, since I lover of YHVH EL cannot force you, nor can "The Deceiver" force you to choose which way you want to walk, either in "The Truth" or in "Deceit" but when you mix deceit with truth, The Deceiver is allowed to deceive you due to your own choice of turning truth into deceit (by mixing the two together and by doing so misinforming and deceiving). My Lord YHVH EL said: "No one can please both, EL YHVH and HaSatan Lah" Therefore I say to you, choose wisely which one do you choose to get angry. Remember that YHVH EL is "The Creator" and Controller of Time, Space, (this universe) and much, much more. Allah HaSatan which called himself in his own book "The Deceiver" , "A Great Deceiver", "The Destroyer" and mixing up truth with deceit and also deceiving with positive titles and names that do not belong to him, he is only a creature with very limited powers which could use only when is allowed by YHVH. The Deceiver being "a creature" is a pathetic third hand creator of creations such as the religion of Darwin that has as foundation many idols (one being false science based on speculations, deceit and theories of speculation). Another one of "The Deceiver's" religion is the religion known as "of Buddha" and "Buddhism", and many other human as well as demonic invented religions, yet he is not "The Creator of the universe nor Controller of it, nor is he eternal. His end will come but with his end will come also yours who choose to become his slaves and never desire to learn and get to know "The Truth" and "The Lord of True Love". True Love could only come from YHVH EL to only those that EL makes it known due to their trust and dedication toward The EternaL (EL) and SupremeJudge (ELoHim) YHVH. So you may go ahead and make your choice. I have made mine already and due to my choice, my eternal destiny is paradise with EL The Yah as in the sacrifice of MessiYah called EmmanuEL Yah'Shua. (Yah'Shua meaning Yahveh Savior with other words Savior YHVH or abbreviated Savior Yah, and nothing less, nothing more) unless you add EL's title "EL" , EL Yah / Yah EL. Not x or g, or c, or j, or ...etc but Yahveh Savior. Some trusts imperfect creatures such as other humans, or trust Darwin and Allah (a fallen deceitful chief angel HaSatan now demon) and Buddha which have never ever promised nor assured salvation up on trust and up on true love. Humans put their trust in those imperfect creatures and deceivers or "A Great Deceiver", "The Deceiver" because most humans lack wisdom and true knowledge which is true science and they prefer either speculations or superstitions and theories based on speculation which are deceitful and leads in slavery to "The Deceiver" not only now but in the other side as well. @@Odo-so8pj sounds so conspiratorial when people say things like this but it certainly is heading in an extremely troubling and concerning manner. It doesn't take much research to find out what is going on: the billionaires and have got together, had a d!ck measuring contest and decided to change the world so peasants like us will inevitably suffer. They want to change the world and the virus was a precursor which started this event - whether the release of the virus was intentionally or not we'll never know but this event is the start of something. With the majority of people connected to their phones 24/7, they will use this in order to manipulate us and condition our behaviour. Perfect example is the vaccine passports and the sharing our NHS data to third party companies. I do feel like we're living in a Black Mirror episode sometimes. It won't be long before people are microchipped, give them an inch......... Once you give them a bit of your freedoms, they'll want more till they have full control of your life.

@@benlotus2703 Ps Black mirror yes Book brave new world. Orwell 1989 (if I got the year right.) Some of it is predictive programming and Neurolinguistic programming. They know if they plant the idea / propoganda people will accept it. They prevent a shock which would be needed to provoke a response plus we are all pampered. No one wants to make their life harder. I'm reading The power of the powerless. Hopefully it will have some answers by those who have already dealt with them. ​@@EhunterL I'd say the opposite, save for Antifa. Islam has a very rigid view of what is right and wrong, and an even more concrete view of what to do with those who break said beliefs/laws. Antifa on the other hand is concrete when it comes to identifying an infidel, like Islam, the few things they coincide with.

Not true. There is a law for the universe that stand apart from men from god (YHWH). Obedience is absolutely necessary for human survival. I would assert that the relative freedom of men is found in obedience to Gods law without traditions of men corrupting that law. I often see truth mixed with lie. If everyone is disobedient then know one has freedom. So it is the with the governments that uses its freedom to pontificate the standard by which its citizens live.

Well obedience to one master can be disobedience to another. Having conscience is being with knowledge. God has given us an understanding of what is right and wrong. When I think of the story of Daniel in the Lions Den we see obedience was good, and God honoured Daniels decision to maintain worshipping God despite it being illegal. He both obeyed God and disobeyed the government with the same action. It just matters to who you obey and if it’s blind obedience or based off of knowledge.

Here in July 2020, this is more relevant than ever.

Good for you. Part of what the compulsory education system does is make education seem like tedious work. That's because it's not really about education but rather obedience and conformity; creating a mass population that shares the values of its rulers, because one doesn't revolt against one with whom he or she shares values. I’m a registered nurse. I worked in adult critical care for 4 years. I gave it everything i had. I am now a pediatric and neonatal vascular access specialist. When the virus first hit, I volunteered every lunch break I had to go help out in the adult critical care units. I worked for free to help on my breaks. I picked up overtime shifts to help more. I have won numerous awards for nursing excellence recognition. I have this job everything that I had in my heart. I now have until September 27th to get the shot or I am terminated as an employee.

My best guess is that you have natural immunity. It is not good to take a V if you have already a prep'd immunity. Now your Q is, should you allow them terminate and then get tested or should you test prior? This is a financial deliberation, for you.

Personally, on my journey through life, I feel like I have realized my own cognitive dissonances and have been fighting the social pressures of my family, especially. They are strong on enforcing the religion and conservative beliefs and will prosecute anyone who isn't fully aligned with them. I have been doing loads of personal research into topics I once had strong opinions over but no actual knowledge. I feel like my own person as I deviate away from the conformity of my family and now face their persecutions. I know I still have a long way to go on my search for truth and wisdom in a relativistic world of possibilities, and every chain of binding ignorance I can break away is one step closer to the freedom one attains in truth (whether it is subjective or objective). Thank you, producer(s) of Academy of Ideas for providing these great lectures. They are very stimulating and I look forward to every new release. I will give on patreon whenever I have extra money. Matt Wilson Don't clash with your society, you will end up free yet miserable. I have experienced the feeling of awakening from societal delusions and passed down lies. You might expect it to feel cathartic, a feeling of freedom. But mostly it just made me feel sad and unnatural. But maybe that's just me. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Three years later, here we are, facing multiple riots all over the world, people rioting over racism, fascism, and over the actions many governments have taken on the coronavirus outbreak... You'd think some things might finally change, but they riot saying "if only my candidate was in charge, things would be different". The points in these riots are so valid, butI see little hope in these words. Here in Brazil we are facing an authoritarian right-wing government, some people are going mad and some are saying we are moving to a better place. But, before this party came to power, the leftists in power also played with some freedom-revoking acts, to which most of those around me would say they were justifiable, because they would make the world a better place. I try not to be so arrogant as to think I am much above others, or that I have an intelligence most doesn't, and that's why I truly can't understand how some can be so blind to authoritarism, as long as they agree with the current governors in charge... These are not just regular people. Some are artists, musicians, writers, and others that I used to admire. Everybody is sick with thede populism disease...

Women with political opinions everybody. Word salad,buzzwords and useless jargon. It's call "HIStory" for a reason.

When I was cop in KS, I saw that some guys were able to give out 20 tickets ($100 dollars or more each) a day, often to poorer people. I couldn’t do it and I asked them how they do it. They would say things like “it’s just a job” or “you pay your fines and fees and keep your stuff up to date right?” I called it coping or post hoc rationalization but cognitive dissonance works too. It’s the same with the jab or affirming CRT’s atrocious tenets. If you’re pressured into it, you have to tell yourself a story that means you’re not a coward who was pressured into doing something you find reprehensible.

I'm so glad I was taught to question all authority.

I question everything in life otherwise I'd be one of those robotic human beings that I see everywhere. You know, the kind that are always staring into their smartphones and believing that reality exists there when in fact artificial reality is at play in their gadgets. They're brainwashed and completely unaware of it.

This should have millions of views, It is truly astonishing how ignorant most Americans are, we learned nothing from the 20th century, With countless millions killed with massive human suffering, America at the time was isolated from this we are in denial ( This can't happen here.) Just look at the Stanford prison experiment documentary. It shows how easily we fall into roles such as guard/prisoner basically acting on our identity attachment.

I have been a rebel ever since I hit the ground running.. For 65 years, it's been one hell of a party ....

I liked how after each quote you backed it up with evidence and explained it. I learned that even though we may think about our obedience to government actions that we believe are immoral, we still obey because they are of a higher power than us. when someone that disobeys they are protecting our freedom, and they move our society forward. I also learned that our need to obey someone of a higher status comes from our need to survive in dominance hierarchy.

I agree with your proposition on how a person can become more likely to disobey when disobedience is necessary but I think you can start earlier. Teach your children to be unwavering skeptics and teach them how to argue with themselves, others and every text they read.

Sad truth is that they will think you are crazy. That has been my experience. It has also been my experience is that people that do see the BS are also people who are actively researching the truth. Those who have not, will not wake up if you feed them the information. They will trust the TV and radio more than you. Again personal experience. Hopefully your circle is not as dumb as my circle.

Agree. Went to hypnotist once in a group. One of our group got locked on. Person next to me alerted me. Could see from looking at eyes. We, were zoned out. Started to get out of their seat to go to the stage (hypnotist had called to the audience). We acted immediately, joined hands, and included the standing person (under hypnosis) in the link. It took a little while but whatever we done they zoned back into the present, looked around, bewildered at their positioning. We pretended not to notice and absorbed them back. I was intrigued.

With this video I learned about how obedience is only gained from those who can gain the trust of the ruler and how it works. It is used in our society everyday which can be related to work Or as little as listening to your parents . However with disobedience it mentions how we do end up losing obedience when we disagree with our rulers and lose the confidence to those we need to follow in command .

I think there are those who are intelligent/critical to think for themselves and not like the mass sheep, but also understand that sometimes you have to obey in order to adapt/survive. Even a cell conforming to it's new environment is a form of obedience, no?

A thought on "self education". When in a group and listening to the leaders speaking you wonder if they are being truthful. I was in that position and studied their teaching which I found to be flawed. When I confronted the leaders they tossed me out of the group. When this happens the rest of the group is usually notified and you loose friends right now...you are shunned.

The first quote that the video discusses is very eye-opening because it’s questioning the fact that most people don’t think for themselves but just do as they are told and don’t question the authority that is giving them the order. The piece, “Why has every man a conscience then?” really made me think about WHY we think and if we can all think; why do we think that our own thoughts and morals are not as important? The second quote talks about how we let atrocities happen only because we have some sense of loyalty to our higher authorities. We are scared to not obey because we do not want to be outsiders in our society. I think that is terrible and yet I still have the pride and loyalty to the United States. Like the video said, we ignore our own authorities mistakes so we don’t feel uncomfortable with our actions. I really enjoyed how the video made comparisons between the government and the religions as people of power because it helped emphasize the message which was: “people tend to do things that they would consider immoral, but just because a person with authority told them to do it, they do it.”

Watching this in 2021 and wishing more people had heeded this message a few years ago...

All we need is approval from an authority figure, and whatever we do we feel the act committed isn't our personal fault. There are many experiments done on our obedient capacities. Even a video game series: BioShock has obedience as it's narrative. The antagonist(of the game) herds the protagonist around through a form of polite requests. He (the antagonist) asks for a request and ends by saying "would you kindly" or says it before asking. It's in fact so effective that the phrase is meant to affect the player of the game subconsciously of course.
