Same, it's also better to get walked in on than walk in on someone else.

I'd rather be treated right than be given a gift. Gift giving can also be a way to buy someone. I've experienced this unfortunately.

Thank you. I was thinking of giving a book that I personally owned and was wondering if the receiver would like it. But since you said the receiver enjoys gifts that reflect the giver, I think I'll go with my gift idea.

I like what she says, but…it’s hard to hear what she’s saying with the bells loudly clanging…

Ugh.... hate receiving gifts. In fact limit things coming in to my home period, no free stuff, etc... Intent was good, but how i received it was hurt. Says, I know you dont like gifts, but this is a big birthday and proceeds to give me a kitchen appliance I wont use. What I heard, I know you don't like getting gifts, but it was important for me to feel good so I'm ignoring your wishes.
