When I first heard this song from the psychedelic furs I thought to myself this is truly new wave love ballad not to mention that the lyrics itself seemly fits the whole music perfectly The psychedelic furs was one of my most favorite 80s band back then This song has so emotional truths to it from the steady but changing of the bass line To the guitars that sings the front melodies Angel's don't cry Is a new wave love song classic from the 80s

ONCE, "oso", my beloved late young son, told me after one of those terrible chemotherapy sessions: "you know dad?, i think that when all of this ends, i would like to fly away to that beach you took us for vacations and maybe ,stay there for a week or so , so you and mom could rest ,AND THEN,say goodbye to ross(his twin sister) and show her the place, ...there we will run and play like we used to ,...dad, dont´cry, i know ANGELS DON´T CRY.... This is such an odd video in The Psychedelic Furs' history. 1987 was the Furs' commercial zenith in the US, with "Heartbreak Beat" their first & only US Billboard Top 30 hit, and the "Midnight To Might" album their highest charting US album. The videos for "Heartbreak Beat" (film-noirish black & white) and "Shock' (lurid color) were shot with hand-held cameras, and offered up lots of neon lights, women dancing, night life imagery... seemingly somewhat inspired by Duran Duran's "Notorious" video the year before. But this video is a strange creature... a carefully choreographed single take, it presents the P-Furs at their most "Vegas" moment. Not grainy and filled with quick edits like the previous two, this is a well-lit crystal clear video chock full of every Richard Butler move and mannerism he would continue to use through 2015. Even his brother is missing his trademark shades and has a mullet! The song is the one ballad on an otherwise heavy-handed dance/rock album. Butler's unique way with words escapes clear meaning as usual, but I've always found this song strangely moving, despite the over-the-top sax solo, or maybe it's more because of it. So I find this video somewhat embarrassing for them, but despite that, I still find it fascinating to watch. I imagine Butler was horrified by it just months later, if not sooner. Watch their subsequent video for "House" in 1989 and you'll see far away they ran from this.

I remember this was when I went off of the Psychedelic Furs-I felt they had become yet another band that had made it to the bland mainstream, which meant that whatever had made them great in the first place was gone and had been replaced with slick sterility (the warning sign, for me, had been the re-recording of 'Pretty In Pink' for the John Hughes film). I even purposely did not catch them on their Midnight To Midnight tour. It wasn't until World Outside that I bought another one of their albums (though I did buy their great 'All That Money Wants' single).

Let those who have ears, HEAR the WORDS.... lyrics. Ahhhh, the 70' - 90's music was so "enchanting". Feel good vibes. While listening to 80s music, ever thought to yourself "What are they talking about?" . The imagery, the strange "Hollywood " look, androgynous vibes, mysterious gazes.... ALL of it has to do with hidden meanings in PARABLE form. (Mark 4:9-13) Amen.... glad I can hear and see.

West Springfield been got it during 2004. One of their best albums even Richard Butler hated it.
Probably the best 80s song that nobody knows
ME AN ANGEL?? LOVEyou babe, i will see you soon !!

One of the best bands EVER!Love me some Richard Butler❤❤❤.Just saw them for the 3rd time
Let those who have ears, HEAR the WORDS....
These guys were / are amazing, the album Midnight to Midnight was a revelation start to finish...I realize how hard it is to drop down cross legged & rise up like Richard does, amazing strength needed!...One of the few bands I can listen to all day, wow the 80's were the best!
I might fade away tonight, If you close your eyes...
Great bassline and Richard’s dance is always very melancholic
....Rep looks spookily like Molly Ringwald in this video.... a million smiles (for one of your miles) away from Beatiful Chaos...
Why this song was not a huge hit baffles me. Great lyrics, great melody, and that voice.

I LOVE this song. So f*"#n cool. Missing the New Wave years when Music was actually GOOD. Hurrah for the 80s.
So sweet best song gute Reise in die nacht
Saw them tonight. Meltdown, South Bank , London. Curated by Robert Smith, the Cure. From 1st track, first album, to this , excellent, only older. Crowd went ballistic from song 3, although its theoretically a seated venue. Angels are clearly watching over them ...
Great camera work
shot in one take...no edits or cuts
THE SOLO I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Everything comes to an end I know . ......but angels dont cry .

My favorite The Psychedelic Furs song .................. greetings of Perú ...
Saw them in 1985. Great show. Their first few albums were awesome. This stuff was way to commercial for me. If you haven't listened to India, sister Europe, pulse or into you like a train then do it first before popping off at me
Bowie Mark 2..great voice and underrated band..
