those who are saying hardstyle shouldn't be what it is now and that this is better as much as I love old hardstyle it would never grow as big if it stayed like this forever the reason why this never got as popular as newer stuff is because there's no emotion in it and if there is emotion it's the feelings of power and dark as much as I love dark and power thats not enough... there's a need for more and I've said it as far back as I can remember those who desire to keep it the way it is write your own music I like emotion not just hard I like HardEmotion

Yes I agree 08-10 was awesome stuff earlier didn't express as much here in the states dubstep is going from melodic to nothing but sounds with little to no theory or Brostep I hope hardstyle never becomes brostyle

Nustyle is so so to me if it's mainly that euphoric sound I honestly feel if you fused rawstyle with nu get rid of nustyle drums for raws it would probably be pretty awesome

phazecrow 24:40 is what hardstyle is. The kicks are hard and the melodies emotional. The hardstyle we have today (popstyle, no hate towards rawstyle or even certain euphoric such as some of the wasted penguinz tunes) is not hardstyle. Another great song that I think really expressed what hardstyle is would be "Ran D living for the moment"

the way hardstyle should be, why anyone prefers hollow gongy kicks over this is just mindboggling.
