This characterization is what some college finals have lost. Too many people playing themselves. Time for college to learn from high school and bring back real dramatic interp. And from one play rather than poi duos u see in college.

A side-by-side analysis says otherwise. This is a specific piece with important scenes baked in (of which you can’t just “cut” out).

@@henryevanssouthwestcta7776 Wrong Wrong Wrong. Other than the singing, the teasers are completely different. The entire premise of the performances are different as well. This performance is specifically taking place back stage at Judy's final performance. The 2009 version does not even address that element. The vocalization/physical characterizations pull in distinct elements of Judy and are two different interpretations. Trust me, I personally would not have any students I work with perform a script that was previously a national champion, but if someone can take the script and do something different and original, as this one did, then props to them. Not fair to accuse someone of copying who brings in a complete different performance style and distinct cutting.

In fact, I’ll end this debate with you by turning to the viewers directly: To those watching, simply compare the 2009 version to this version for yourself. p.s. The number of individuals that liked my original comment helps buttress my argument.
