Then again, if you want a smoky dram, for basically the same price you can get a Laphroaig 10YO or an Ardmore Legacy peated single malt... The other single malts you mention have no peat, but still cost almost the same as the JWBL...

Why are you using a tumbler, aka whiskey tumbler, 'on the rocks glass', old fashioned glass, low-ball glass, etc., instead of a Glencairn whisky glass?

Ah yes, a nice glass of chill filtered, E150a coloured drab. Is this what they call a lounge lizard ? Seriously, I like a JW Black now and then as a reference taste, because it is so soft and uniform it helps me appreciate the complexity of other malts. And sometimes you just want to drink without thinking too much and then my mate Johnnie is welcome to the party.

Nothing finer than Johnnie Walker.

I think he stole that jacket off the coat rack at a Howard Johnson's restaurant. Check him out at 1:12 as he rubs his hands together. The cuffs on the jacket! That thing was tailored for someone twice it size! Couple that ill-fitting jacket with the powder blue, v-neck tee shirt and....I think this man spent zero time preparing for this video shoot!

Black label is pretty good for mixed drinks or cocktails. If i'm drinking some neat scotch it'd better be a single malt not that blend crap. Blue label is the most overrated liquor ever probably.

Mark R. No shit. If you want to a chilled whiskey, whiskey stones go well. If you add water, use a small drop out of a glass straw.

Guys I need some advice, does it really gives out various aromas? Seriously I just smell alcohol and whiskey when I open a black label. I just don't get it sometimes, is it only me who can't pickup those scent or people are just saying things to show that they are experts and I never enjoyed the taste of liquor like how you would enjoy your favourite coffee, it just gives me a bearable taste and the alcohol help me to loosen up..advice please

Simon Nera pour it into a Glencarin glass and try it that way. The design of the glass gives you a better chance of getting a proper aroma from a glass of whisky / whiskey. Goya ginger beer is good enough for me! Their bottled/canned drinks tend to taste pretty fresh, considering.

An Indian song :- Intoxication is in a person's soul..So alcohol has different impact on each individual. Also If this was not the case then bottle would have also danced.

How come you aren't sipping / sampling J.Walker (BLUE LABLE) ?? Most people don't even know J.W. put out a ""Blue Label"" ... I purchased a bottle of the J.W. BLUE about 25 years ago by special order (up front payment of $400.00 after tax , I wasn't at all surprised that the liquor store owner had never heard of J.W.BLUE .. As I write this text I can't help but wonder if J.Walker still makes the blue label , wow !! My Blue liable bottle is now an additional 25 years old , I'm thinking the color should change to maybe let's say a WHITE LABLE ..
