As a course provider for the BFI Film Academy Short Course Programme for the past twelve years, Broadway has supported and nurtured over 230 talented young people, from every background, to take their first step into a career in the Film and TV industry.
Course participants develop their knowledge and practical skills through training led by award-winning professionals and by getting hands-on experience across all roles in the screen industry. After developing their knowledge and practical skills, course participants team up to make short films which will then be premiered at an exclusive gala screening with a public Q&A here at Broadway.
Past participants of Broadway’s BFI Film Academy Short Course have gone on to paid traineeships on major international feature film & TV Pinewood studio productions, including:
Lucas Film and Disney+'s Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Willow, Andor and Cruella - Warner Brothers' Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - EON Production's Bond: No Time To Die - Netflix's Matilda The Musical.
Past participants have also been exclusively recruited and been crucial crew members on local and national TV productions such as:
