The Prohibition of Riba (Interest) by Sh Imran Hosein
Riba is usury. Usury is commonly understood as the lending of money at illegally high rates of interest. But riba, or usury, in Islam is the lending of money on interest, regardless of the rate of interest! When money is lent on interest, then money by itself, independent of any labor or effort, or the assumption of any risk, increases over time. The increase is realised through the exploitation of labor, goods or property since Allah, the Most High, has unambiguously declared that nothing can be had without effort or labor(6:85, 11:85, 26:183, etc.).
Riba is also at work when wealth is sucked from the masses through deception and other forms of fraud. Such, for example, is the case of paper, plastic and electronic money. There is also riba in speculative transactions. More than 60% of all money transfers in the world economy today represent speculative transactions.
"O believers, fear God, and give up the interest that remains outstanding if you are believers. If you do not do so, then be sure of being at war with God and His messenger. But, if you repent, you can have your principal. Neither should you commit injustice nor should you be subjected to it". (The Qurán 2:278-279)

My family was trying to pressure me into getting a morgage with riba, I refused many times and had also explained how dangerous riba is and they called me a Idiot because some questionable imam said it is permitted (apperently Imams and shaykhs cannot sin)... I would try to explain the Quran majeed is our primary and most important source as it is from Allah SWT and that our beloved master Nabi Muhammad (Peace be upon them and their family) like all prophets and messengers (peace be upon them all) was against riba, my family and community would argue against this and say this and that imam said you can once and only once.... I would then try to explain there is no one higher or on the same level as Allah SWT and if our creator says no to riba then it is a command we must follow, our beloved master Nabi Muhammad (Peace be upon them and their family) also spoke out against Riba. Yet again they would call me the idiot and say that Imam was a big imam and they said you can and it seemed thats all they payed attention to, some imam who said it is okay (going against Allah SWT and all the prophets and messengers of Allah SWT (Peace and blessings be upon them all)) It wasn't until I prayed and asked allah to help me and give me the strength to refuse riba that my family and the community got off my case... May Allah make us all strong and may he forgive those that were fooled into accepting riba 😭😭😭

Is just very sad with all the great work he's doing masha Allah to educate and help the scholars of Islam and those who are leading us in Muslim's countries an who are ignorant of this type of knowledge I don't understand them they're not listening to him oh they just don't care and are prepared to face the consequences in the day of judgement because nobody can deny what he saying he speak the truth the entire African continent it's blessed with every blessing. God can Bless a country's with yet every time they have to go borrowing money from the evil IMF and still yet most the population ar very very poor so sad

I need duas my brothers and sisters as my family wants me to buy a home on morgage which has alot of riba, now these so self proclaiming scholars these school boys have all said its permitted to buy one house with morgage/riba. I still dont believe it is please do dua for me im really struggling 😖

There is a people who love Riba. As they don't believe in God, they believe in Riba, a golden calf and deceit in stead. Apparently, they changed the Words of God, said 'This is from Allah!' and made a profit selling these words. Shaitan has those loyal to him on earth today. And don't you dare critizising them. They suck your blood. Some day this people may have to answer for themselves. It seems likely even. Investigate the percentage they constitute of the total of the Biden administration, the members of the Senate and of the members of the House of Respresentatives. America first? Assalamualaikum Sheikh Imran and all. I always watched Sheikh video about Riba' and he always said I s l a m i c F i n a n c e (IF) is backdoor Riba'. My questions to Sheikh and anyone who can answer: 1. In current living conditions, we need car and house as basic needs (atleast one for each family). How can we acquire those assets without financing? to wait our savings enough to buy those assets (car, hour or land) will take long time (can be 10-30years). Some people living in area (due to working requirements) where house or land price are very expensive in certain areas. Most people use darurah reason to allow themselves to apply financing as they see that IF can be less harm choices compare to conventional loan. 2. What is the solution for this problem? Can we strengthened back the baitulmal institution to collect Zakah and Jizyah and finance to those who needed without any charges? As per my knowledge, baitulmal was well established during time Saidina Umar Al Khattab. As of now, I can't find any video for the solution from Sheikh Imran. Jazakallah Khair.

The Imam says that until the 1920's paper money was no longer redeemable in gold, but I read an article that says it wasn't until 1933 when Congress enacted a joint resolution nullifying the right of creditors to demand payment in gold

well, the federal reserve say untill 1971 than one gold ounce cost 35 dollars, but if you go to federal reserve to buy it they said, sorry we do not sell gold, you have to go to the market to buy it, and when you went to the market you have to pay around 45 dollars ...heheh...that explain and advice Juan DOmingo Peron argentina president in 1955, he pay all argentina debt and start to develop industrial and tecnology in argentina, finally they make a revolution and sent off peron from president...

Savant : It’s not workable. Someone was saying that the Islamic lending system ruins lives. How could you function in the modern world with credit? Even a credit card or some method involving paying some interest, although the interest might be hidden.

And don’t you pay interest charges hidden in the price every time yo buy anything at the grocery store o4 the mall? If they are paying interest, and you are buying their product, then you are also paying some portion of those interest charges.- - - - Now let’s say I have one million dollars in the bank. You need the money. What can you say that would entice me to risk losing my money by lending it to you? What is in it for me? No profit means no motivation to take risks, ... so Islam might be better suited to communism; it is incompatible with capitalism.

Savant : Every item that you buy at the grocery store is supplied by companies who pay interest. If you do business with any of them, then you are paying them money which part of will go to paying interest charges. Delude yourself all you wish, you are still paying interest charges.
