Well that jumped from "waiting for the other shoe to drop" to "objectively horrifying" pretty quickly

I think there are more houses than people already at 7-8 billion...not having enough housing has not been the problem for a while :)

I have a hard time believing that with how many houses should have multiple habitants

No wonder it took so long to find the right voice actress for this episode, the VA was spot on! Every episode makes me more and more curious about what the world under the Program is like, since the modern world seems to be such a blurry and detached memory for our interviewees...

Reminded me too much of when I was homeless for me to finish it. I crimed my way right out of that situation. White collar crime mostly. Financial fraud. Loans I never paid back and never planned to. I still had a cruddy old laptop I kept charged on public outlets and Wi-Fi I could steal, this being before cell phones were really a thing. But there were two months where I was outside, then three months surfing couches with a college kid, then into college and a dorm with the government loans. Never did finish college, the health problems came after that by three years, If the timing had been different I definitely would have died. Could have done it with just a library if I needed to. For eating and paying for a campground spot, $50 a week, I stole some things from Walmart and then returned them at another store. Got a tent. Stealing food is a mugs game. Stealing high end goods or cash will get you arrested. You want things a shitty aunt could buy you for your birthday, things without tags, and then just put them in your cart and take off your coat to put on top later. Buy some ramen or something. Or anything, give em the bad card, then say you'll have to talk to customer service. The real key to all of this is to look up everything that might help you and talk to everyone who is willing. And if you see PETA stealing someone's dog you beat the shit out of them. They are pet killers first and foremost. I dropped out the video when that happened.

Less than 24 hours since this was uploaded, and it already has more views than the original here on KZread. Sad to see great podcasts not get recognition.

And here I was thinking this wasn't a horror podcast...... Welp, that was terrifying. Utterly. But also intriguing.

If I had a nickel for everytime brazillian representation showed up on a Rusty Quill podcast I'd have... like... three nickels? Which isn't much but it's weird it happened thrice right?

In the book, getting your karma score zeroed out would get you frozen and put in jail for something like 70 years before you were released back into society with a standard score.

Least believable part of this story is that the landlord offered to give any part of the deposite back, usually its the other way around, you clean the shit out of the apartment and don't get the deposite back anyways.

I hate that people force other people into these situations. I will never be rich because I won’t steal from others. I will never support the war on the homeless, helpless and poor. I will never support excluding immigrants or refugees. People need to change. The whole world needs to change. And it will be ugly. Unfortunately, when it comes to this extreme of a situation, people can’t be trusted to administer themselves.
