I wish my mom let me play more sports growing up. It’s always been taboo for Muslim young girls especially Somali , I’m glad it’s being normalized now . Within the limits of Islam of course. It’s healthy for your mind and body!!

The most positive talk I've heard from a muslim lady..... there is more to life than religion. Productive hobbies are character building and great for your mental well being. Reading broadens the mind. Get out in nature and appreciate the countryside, do it with friends. Team sports are great for making friends. Have a go at the art .... my old art tutor said anyone can draw or paint and only 10% of it was down to talent, it's the effort you make that's important. All this makes you a more rounded, happier individual.

May Allah help you and make your life easy. Read this beautiful Dua every time. This is the supplication of Prophet Yunus A.S who called on Allah SWT while he was in the belly of the whale. The Prophet PBUH said: "No Muslim person says it, for any situation whatsoever, except that Allah Most High answers his call.” - (Tirmidhi) A gem of a dua that is short, sweet, and effective to gain Allah's SWT mercy during a difficulty or trial. لا إلهَ إلا أنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّالِمِيْنَ La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanaka, inni kuntu mina z-zalimin. “There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers.” - (Quran 21:87)
