I was about 4 or 5 when I first heard the prodigy. My parents had this album on cd and I'd always ask my parents to play it while we went on car trips. I think I once had my parents play this song 10 times in a row because I was obsessed with it. I'm turning 18 in a week and I still have the same feeling every time I hear it. I just want to yell it at the top of my lungs. I'm so grateful to have grown up with such cool parents!❤️

I kid you not I was just telling my friends this the other day. My parents had, “The Fat of the Land” album and we’d listen to it on long road trips. My sister and I would ask to hear Firestarter or Smack My B*tch Up or something else from that album which I now have til this day. Good times. Our parents were definitely different than most but cool. Lol
The synths, the vocals, the bass, and the drums, this song is the PERFECT representation of dance music.

+MELERIX Breakbeat hardcore which is grandfather of jungle & DnB, it does have acid house and techno elements cos those were the other two sounds around that time in the London/UK 90's underground rave scene. The Prodigy should know they were right there at the start. Listen to 1990 rave 1991 and then 1992, That's where breakbeat hardcore was born, and 93 94 95 and so on you hear Jungle and DnB emerging into the UK rave scene.

It's so self referencing but still so fresh. I love it. Many musicians tend to shun their early work, especially if it becomes "unfashionable" or subjectively less intelligent or evolved as later stuff. But this track is like a big declaration of "fuck that, I'm PROUD of everything we've done" It's like the spirit of their earlier stuff but re-mastered in 4k HDR and then a sprinkle of all other other periods in their career. Some critics considered it a lazy re-tread but I see it more as a celebration of their music and not being afraid to look back and acknowledge where they came from while still moving forward.

I'm sorry I don't tend to memorise every single date I listen to a song, I swear I was about 5 because my brother was 15 and I would drop him at his scouts club!!
A beat that pulses through my body. Making us remember why we listen to music, to never die out!! Keith you may be gone from this world but not from our hearts and our memories ♥️♥️💗🇬🇧

@Freddie the Almighty Bear God No idea, why you started talking about Satanists. But I disagree. Satanism = the opposite of the christian church. Church = evil. So Satanism = good. :-) Did you know that Satanists are very much against child rape while the christians condone child rape?
