The Prodigy live 1992 (RARE UNSEEN) Keith Flint Tribute

The Prodigy in 1992 at Liverpool University Tunes 2 event. Lets have it ;)
A Legendary live PA caught on camera by way of a complete blag!
Nathan Damour blagged his way on stage moments before the Prodigy were due to play. The rest is history.
Nathan said 'I acted like I was part of the production team, strode past all the security, and straight on stage'.
This footage has been hidden away on tape in an attic for 27 years, its raw and uncut. Enjoy
Big thanks to The Ego Optics crew - Nathan Damour, Barney Woodhead and Dill Magee for all their efforts in making this happen. Respect to all the rave warriors past and present. I'm sure we can safely say on their behalf 'Keith your energy made the world a better place. We miss you'.
Date: 23rd January 1992
Event: Tunes 2
Venue: Mountford Hall, Liverpool University
City: Liverpool
Country: England

He MANY TIMES, in the interviews, said that he was cashing in and NOT saving any money he made. He , many times, said he knew no one was gonna look after him when he s really old and so it s better to pull the plug before he becomes that old. So, long story short, his decision was a WELL THOUGHT and CONSCIOUS decision. Im Not defending suicide at all, but he knew what was gonna happen and thought about it and ended before the desperate times hit him. Thats all. Thinking ahead and taking measures simply.... This moment at 3:14 encapsulates everything magical about rave. Totally insane crowd, whistles, strobo, people dancing, freedom and fun and let's be honest, Es vicks etc.... It is very hard to repeat this today. Back then only people who wanted to have fun and loved music went to parties (true ravers) , party goers were less fake, it was more about music and less about drugs and fashion. Liam H and boys gave us something special and magical, touched hearts of many people from many countries all over the world. I always somewhat secretly hated when Liam pushed the band towards punk sound but even then Prodigy was marvellous. Thank you guys for everything , I will never forget you. Thank you Keith and hope you are in a happier place. You better start gathering the crowd for a great reunion rave when Liam, Maxim and Leeroy go there.

I had been wondering when it would end. I mean they are 50 years old. Sure, I will play this shit at the elderly home when I'm 80 yo, but imagine doing it on stage. RIP Keith, thanks for all the amazing memories. I hope Liam and Maxim at least do a memorial tour. I will be there, in green spike hair.

the UK rave scene was already 5 years old in 1992.. this was the point where it started to diversify and break up, more commerical chart stuff including the Prodigy.. the start of Jungle, a lot of switching from hardcore breaks back to progrssive house or Garage house and promoters moving back from the large events into traditional nightclubs... and different stuff was happening regionally all over the UK, great times

@@VIEWstudios I was just in Brighton last weekend at my friends little underground event 'Calling The Hardcore' that held its 5th party at Volks. Ratty and Kenny Ken headlining and playing obscure and rare hardcore and jungle tekno. There was a few rarely played Prodigy tunes dropped as well as a super obscure version of Charly that i've never heard before. When one or two of the lesser known Djs dropped Weather Experience,Android and What Evil Lurks the entire venue erupted!!! Plenty of shouts for Keith that night and I wore my Experience t-shirt with pride. Everything was aching by 6am though! Lol I turned 45 a week before. Great night though.
