    That is for the aging process inside the barrel. For the plant to grow the minimum is 8 years, but that depends on how much it rains.

    Its actually pretty good and sweet, you can buy it as "Miel de Agave" or Agave Syrup.

    A worm is usually found in Mezcal, which is a cousin of tequila. Its a drink made from the different agave plants, and has a different process and its made in Oaxaca.

    Sadly prices are going up because of demand on the product and the agave plant can only be grown in certain areas of Mexico.

    Its eliminated on the second distilling. Thats why its dangerous to buy tequila just sold by gallons in the side of the road, many times its only distilled once. The stuff can leave you blind.

    Its very common to hear the word Piña with Jimadores to describe the agave plant once the leaves are cut off.

    It is not pina, spanish correct word is piña which means pineapple because blue agave heart looks like it when is shaped

    Agave can grow in almost every soil but it takes such a long time for agave to be a ripe plant that nobody likes to cultivate it. From 5 to 10 years of growing until fully grown

    no the agave plant will always be the agave plant but once cut, you get the heart or pineapple wish in Spanish is "el corazon del agave" (the heart of the agave) and piña (pineapple) "i work here" :)

    it was produced through fermentation, like all methanol, and distilled out. that part was pretty clean.

    DId you know also (I don't know how) that the agave plant is made into this syrup which is 10x sweeter than sugar and doesn't bring your blood sugars up. (btw It contains no liquor)

    According to the narration at just after five minutes, It say 11 months to four years for an aged tequila, And with the process to make the drink around less than a month, Where do you get the extra three years from ?

    any time you make any kind of alcohol the first 100 to 200 mls to condense is always mostly methanol alcohol. this happens because the boiling point of the water is higher than the boiling point of alcohols..and all alcohols have slightly higher boiling points according to the number of carbon atoms in the specific alcohol. methanol is formed 1st before the water really boils and contributes its own hydrogen atoms to the 1carbon methanol compound and allow another carbon to bond forming ethanol
