In summary, with the problem with TikTok: 1. TikTok is terrible at helping creators build communities. 2. Audience from TikTok doesn't have strong bond with creators. 3. Tiktok shows the most entertaining contents. What to do about it? 1. Move your audience to another platform. 2. Use TikTok features to build a community (spend more time on comments)

Absolutely agree… One of my faves has just left Tik tok because she’s tired of working so hard producing content for the app only to be hidden or penalized for trying to build a community
Do you agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments!

Totally agree, absolutely love it. Keep the content coming. I got a business 💡 to practice for brands or creators looking to grow community. Thank you.
Totally agree. Reason number 101 as to why I'm committing more energy to KZread. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! 🖤
🖤🖤🖤 really enjoyed this video! You’re very right! It’s important to know how to utilize each platform and growing a real community is more than just pumping out content.

So true!
🖤 I agree with this! And always say this about TikTok! I feel like I can follow someone and NEVER see their content again. This sucks when you’re trying to grow a business as it usually takes 7 times they see your product for them to trust and buy from you. I feel with TikTok, I have to LOOK for people !
This video was right on time, because I've been researching other platforms for my channel and Tik Tok is a platform I was considering. Thanks for the info 💜🖤
great video as always! been binging it allll week :) thanks, Jade!
Thank you Jade! I always appreciate you!
I agree with this fully 🖤‼️ This makes me nervous about continuing my tiktok endeavor. But I’m thankful for the tips that she gave that we can do to beat that dayum tiktok system.
🖤 definitely do agree. Me being a new content creator trying to find my community on tik tok and Instagram I noticed I have more engagement on Instagram than I do on TikTok.

@@JadeBeason even implementing different strategies that I have learned from you and other influencers it is the same results. Kinda difficult for us creators who are business owners or in a product driven community.
🖤 I’ve been working on getting my Tiktok and Rizzle following to my KZread, I’m not getting much movement yet but going to keep working at it ✨
🖤 very good video, and I agree!! I also feel like because TikTok is generally used for mindless scrolling and entertainment, as well as the fact that it’s short form content and other points you mentioned, you don’t really remember much of what you consume from the platform after you’re done using it. A few may stand out, but when I’m done with TikTok and try to think back to what I was watching, I only remember maybe 10% of it MAX! Very unhelpful for growing communities.
🖤 Thank you Jade, always enjoy your content and insight
Absolutely agree…
Your explanation made sooo much sense!! Definitely gonna use your tips to get my following over here to my KZread channel 🤞🏾🖤

Yay so glad you found this video useful!
🖤 This is a really interesting POV and I completely agree. The statement about “2 YTbers and 200 TTers” hit home. I could barely name some of the handles of TT creators that I’ve followed and show up in my following feed. I just know their face. However, I know and feel a closer connection to every single KZreadr I follow. So interesting! Also, great tips for helping creators overcome this challenge. Loved this video!
I completely agree🖤 In your opinion, do you see IG going in that direction in light of more and more posts of ppl you don't follow show up on you home feed and the content treadmill getting faster and faster. Absolutely love your videos, I have learnt a lot from your insights and try my best to put them in practice lol
Great video - hmmm I definitely have a different experience on TikTok! it’s REALLY grown my community (and other platforms). But standing out and engaging back is what grew it for me! You can’t just post and you can’t use it as your main platform. That really sucks for her tho! Thanks for letting us know about this

🖤. TikTok to me seems so much of a trend. I feel like we have to keep in mind Vine & Musicly was popping then vanished. I feel like that will eventually be TikTok as well. IG & KZread are more of established platforms that can last for the long run. I personally, don’t like TikTok. I do post all of my videos on several platforms including TikTok. I do see the difference in communities for sure.

That’s another good angle to bring up. Cause Vine was the popular predecessor and it died. Who’s to say TikTok won’t?

Yes indeed 🖤🖤🖤 and now they've moved the Live notifications to the Followers tabs from the notifications tab and it's not very noticeable 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

Thank you. I am kind of scared Of YT so i have been playing with YT shorts... Whats your view on YT shorts?
🖤 I love all your content!!! Thank you so much for all you do!! :) Small biz babe here, trying to make it :)
🖤🖤🖤🖤
I hopped on TikTok to grow my KZread and I think it’s helped a tiny bit but NOT REALLY. Honestly, KZread shorts is growing my channel the most 😅🥲 anyway, no one from my small tiktok audience is loyal to me as a whole. If my half my tiktok audience followed my KZread, I’d be monetized tomorrow. BUT many of them are empty follows. It’s basically like having bots follow you on IG. Only a few of them regularly like and comment from what I’ve seen. It’s a great platform for exposure but not community.
Oke sweet
The best thoughts I have ever heard about how Tik Tok works --- Wow You gave me so much insight --- Thank You
🖤🖤🖤 Another problem with TikTok that some experience while many others don't is that Tiktok first push out your videos to people in your country and maybe some nearby countries. If they like it, your video gets pushed out to people in other countries too, so to get viral on Tiktok you first have go get viral in your own country. If you live in a country with a big population or where your content is enjoyed by many people that's not a problem. As someone drawing photo realistic kpop fanart in Sweden I constantly get comments asking why my content hasn't gone viral, while someone doing kpop fanart in Indonesia, where kpop is huge a new there's also a huge population, gets millions of views no matter the quality of the drawings. Contrary to what many people's experience, my content is actually doing way better on Instagram where I have three times as many followers as on Tiktok.
🖤 I love your content

Agree because it seems Tiktok is solely about data collection. Yes, all apps collect data but the way tiktok works it seems like that is the top priority. 🖤
🖤 100% agree, I’m thinking of investing more into building a solid youtube community when I start content creating
🖤🐚🖤
Absolute genius...
I am building my community I respond to just about every comment I have 9,000 followers am I interact with everyone I can but I so much agree with you
This us exactly why I do not like Tik Tok. No real community. Also, just opening the app gives me a headache.
🖤Tiktok algorithm is just horrible. Thank you for sharing this Jade
,🖤🖤
Thats why I spend more time on fb than tiktok
Is there a grey heart? 😆🖤🤍 I love your content Jade! Always great timing with your topics. Like someone else said, I actually have had the BEST results building a community on TikTok versus Instagram. Now I 100% agree that KZread is the IT GIRL for building community. I ultimately agree but I guess I say a “grey” heart because I want to add that every platform has its tools and when used properly you will see success. TikTok isn’t really the only app that doesn’t care about building community - they all ultimately want to increase the number of users and how long you stay on their app tbh. I feel it’s also the fact TikTok creators are not using the app strategically. It’s like trying using a screwdriver to put a nail in the wall if that makes sense. You are 100% right about engaging in the comments and talking to your audience I went from 500 followers in January to hitting 10K this June but I did many voiceovers and talking vids that showed my personality and values. I also always engaged in the comments but that is a habit I always had being as a social media marketing agency/ strategist 😅 These mistakes TikTok creators are facing can be seen on YT & IG as well because some creators are not using the tools properly nor is their toolkit diverse enough (strictly sticking to one platform only vs using multiple to maximize your results)! If you’re on TikTok and having this issue, simply going to YT won’t suddenly make it go away. YT is perfect for building a community IF you use it right - hammer to a nail, not a screwdriver 😉 Jade has a tonnnn of great content to learn from so check them out! There’s a reason I’m subscribed here, following on IG/TikTok, and engaging with her work! Thanks again for this vid!! 🥰
