    You don't take too much risk with this type of car. You always have to maintain elegance. Here, we have what appears to be an attempt to introduce "fashion trends" into a car that clearly does not carry those types of labels. It's supposed to be the pinnacle of the automobile. Not an influence from other cars

  • @mrsoisauce9017

    @mrsoisauce9017

    I don’t really think it’s trying to introduce fashion trends. More like they tried something and it just doesn’t work. It’s similar to the new Ghost in that regard

    I understand. What I mean, is that this trapezoidal presence has been seen for example in BMW. Also the daytime running lights in the form of a bar, with all kinds of contours and shapes as we can see in multiple brands. Or separating the headlights, with the daytime running lights above and the road lights below. Case of the new Spectre. I don't know. These cars should create trends. Not follow them. It's my opinion

  • @mrsoisauce9017

    @mrsoisauce9017

    10 күн бұрын

    @@danielfirpo8016 Well about the Spectre, I’ve looked at that car against the Phantom Coupe (which the Spectre is supposed to be the spiritual successor to), and the DRLs separate from the main headlights create a look that’s very similar to the Phantom Coupe at the front, so it actually makes a ton of sense there to do something like that. I love that design for the front. As for the Cullinan, there’s an interior quilting pattern that isn’t really trendy at all, but it’s in the car. Again: it’s not that they’re trying to be trendy. They’re not. They’re just trying something new, and it didn’t work. The rest of the car still looks quintessentially Rolls-Royce, as does every other RR model of the present and future. That won’t change whatsoever

  • @danielfirpo8016

    @danielfirpo8016

    10 күн бұрын

    @@mrsoisauce9017 I agree with the Specter's design taste. I'm just not convinced (besides the fact that it doesn't work, as many of us have seen), the character that has been given to the new Cullinan. I don't see it as luxurious or stately from certain angles. With these brands, heritage and timelessness must be perpetuated

    I never thought the Cullinan was the greatest looking modern RR exterior. Looks dated even next to the Phantom. I really don't understand why they didn't go with a facelift closer to the Ghost or an evolution of the Spectre. RR did a great job of balancing tradition and a fresh contemporary take on the traditional design cues with the Spectre.

    I actually really dislike the new headlights. It doesn’t need to have a more complex light signature to be a RR and it honestly looks sad, and not as confident. I’d prefer a second row of lights in the space where there were the horizontal slats in the middle of the front end on the previous Cullinan.
