I apologize that I forgot to load the image of the car I am basing mine off of. I didn't realize this until it was too late.
Well you did it, possibilities are now endless. Enjoy!
For someone who doesn't kit bash that looks real good to me good job
Looking good you are now a Kit Basher keep up the good work
I like to kitbash! Just a suggestion....before u cut up that interior, u may consider making door cards from Evergreen 1/16 sheets. Basically, u could trace the door card outline off the outside of the interior tube on some graft paper and then transfer that to the styrene.
OMG, For someone who doesn't like kit bashing your a natural.. That things looking really good. Find you some ladder bars for the rear so ya don't twist the springs to much when it takes off.. Learned the hard way on a real car.... Great job can't wait for the finished product.😊👍
Chassis looks great! Just got back from holidays and struck out on the antique malls down south. In NY though, got 6 kits for great deals! Glad I watched your videos on model hunting! Happy days and model on! 😎
Love me a 442!!.. this ought to be one sweet Pro Street 442!!
Looks good Matt. I like the way you blendedthe two chassis. Very clean. Can't wait to see this one finished.
That's looking good Matthew. Heading in the right direction.
I love seeing you break out of your mold of only building box stocks. Box stocks are fun to build from time to time, but I am definitely a kit basher at heart! This car is going to turn out awesome! I wish they had a game that we could enter the car specs in to either show it's performance (like a virtual race) or if it was more of a show car or daily then it would be cool if there was a voting system of how awesome it came out. If I can figure out how to set something like that up one day that would be awesome for all the builders that are not so much into building on KZread(like us) and just more into building these kits. Can't wait to see the finished build.

That looks great. Keep pushing your limits, you will be amazed at what you will learn and be able to create.
Thats looking cool Matthew, I´m excited to seeing it finished. Some clever kitbashing, and that Olds fits very well for a pro street....

I once painted a 69 chevelle black with flames and installed the large scale jungle jim engine and racing slicks stock fifteens crager in front . Fun model build .

For someone who just started kit bashing your hitting the ground running! I love the 68-72 style Oldsmobiles and yours is shaping up to be a killer. Can’t wait to see how it turns Matthew! Keep doing what you do sir! 😎👍🏾
Its stanced right and glad the body fits the chassis 👍
Very nice job so far going to look sweet when done
Looks cool Matthew! Great job on the chassis so far! Love the cast "big and lil's" too!

Love to kit bash, that chassis looks good ! Can’t wait to see the progress on this build! Happy modeling ~ Don
So the NASCAR chassis is made for a small block engine. The Pro Stock chassis would be made for a big block. So that is why you are having so much trouble with that huge engine which looks like a 1/24 scale as well. It is a great idea...hope it comes out as good as it appears to.
I like it!!!! I always love the 442s....this is gonna be one bada$$ car!!!!! Can't wait!!
Nice job on the kitbash so far! Looking forward to seeing more on this.
Great job meshing those chassis together! Thos is gonna be sweet! 😁✌
Just use the nascar oilpan to enable the engine to sit in better. You could use the nascar belt and pulley set up too.
This is going to be an interesting project! Good start so far.
thats goin to be nice but yep a smig up in the rear.👍
Great job Matt!! There is a guy here that has a 57 Chevy with a Laughlin nascar chassis under it. Looks like you're a natural at kit bashing! Can't wait to see more bro!!
Looks great so far dude!!
It coming along good
1970 Chevelle 454 SS pro street would have been a better choice of kit bash in my opinion. Have fun.
awesome job just ordered a kit from hobby nut and it was a breeze to find the kit i wanted thanks matt
Wow! It looks great so far. Keep it up! 👍😎
Looks Great Matt! Only thing I see different is the back end getting raised a bit, give it that really aggressive stance. Can't wait to see the next update!!
I've got that other Glidden seat if you want it and the NASCAR seat you can file down the right hand rib support to match the left and it'll be a drag seat...lol!!!!
Ohh yeah looking good buddy
Very Cool Matt!!!! I'll be watching

I have had horrible luck trying to modify the Olds. First one was turning into the 68 Mondello VO Twister when it was red black and white. Modelhaus 68 conversation kit, Perfect lighting bolt paint job, white metal disk brakes roll cage, detailed engine, almost finished. Wife painted the living room while i was on a business trip and it disappeared. Second one a Jo-han 72 turned into an altered wheel base funny car. Polar lights drag frame, custom interior tub, real metal wheels and custom teal paint. Disappeared when i moved. I'm afraid to try again!!

Man Matt that looks good so far think it will turn out killer
Looks like its going to work
Like to find a 68 cutlass since my mom had one that i guess she told us was a built 350 rockett when we were kids. We raced the one ways for pizza on a friday night and usually ate for free. Was just stoplight to stoplight tho.
Great stuff man, normally I like to do cowl hood with everything inside the engine bay, but when is going out I like stock hood style, just making a hole with the almost exact size for the blower and hat, my gasser, my daytime and my dodge are different on every way but that the way I like to do, you can do however you feel comfortable
Coming along nicely sounds like you got a plan
This is an awesome build Matthew! This body style makes a perfect candidate for a Pro/Street car! I love building Pro/Street cars too. I have 18 P/S kits that I’m saving to kit bash other cars. The way you put the NASCAR chassis together with the Nova back half is really cool! Great work! But I’m a little confused, if you’re building a Pro/Street car, then why are you putting slicks on it? A street car tire should have tread on it. I know some of the P/S kits come with slicks, but that doesn’t make it right. At least that’s my opinion, I’d like to hear yours.

Only because they don't have tread. I wish they did.
Very nice job on the Chassis!! If you wanted to smooth out where the 2 come together Ive used in the past is 2 part epoxy that self levels! Thats important! You have to read the box or tube for self leveling.I know that I set my Tubbed cars with the top of the rim even with top of the opening of the wheelwell. Raising the engine is much easier than messing with the pan.Just a few ideas
Nicely done. Starting to be a good looking drag car indeed.
Matt, I'm not sure if you don't include pictures but every time you mention adding a picture they are never in the video. FYI. Keep up the vids!

Matt, loving the direction you're going to take with that Cutlass! Have you thought of a color yet?
"You're GETTING IT" Matt,, "Just Aint GOT ITCHYET" ( " ORIGINAL " Ratrod Bob Quote ) ‼️‼️ God Bless 🤗🤗, Gary.
Use the Ford Nascar Engine and your header problem is solved. Then you'll only need to work out a intake.

@@modelcarvideos5829 I thing one of the intakes from the Juke Box Ford kit can be made to fit with some effort. If you take and file down the top of the Nascar intake to a flat surface, a plenum from any high rise dual carb could work. This is done by many actual engine builders today.
why not cast a second Bob Glidden seat since you know how to cast now?
Amazing W.I.P. build. May I ask, where did you get the Big real wheels and tires, TYIA

Well I had a friend that made them but now he's quit doing them. Bummer
👍👍👍
Do you have a 85 -89 Caprice Classic brougham
Have been trying to find a video of someone actually cutting out the rear-end to tub it.
BTW, Man if you have a model that already has a cowl hood cut it off and graft it to your hood &mud it up....🤔
Id do an eBay search for resin cowl olds. Ill wager there are a few styles.

I do a lot of kit bashing don’t care for box stock to much
Didn't see a cowl hood 🙁
If you want to be different......
Thanks for the ideas on my 65 Impala! Mine will probably have the stock interior and maybe sone Sparco seats. I dunno yet. BTW, I saw not done and thought...GIT 'ER DONE!
