Yes. The first Passover is depicted in the book of Exodus. The angel of death passed over (and spared) the doors that were covered with the lambs blood.

Yes this is a musical film. They recently had done a stage version of it in the West End. When Covid struck two years ago they had fans of the musical submit a video of themselves singing When You Believe. I was one of the lucky fans to be chosen in the video. You can actually find it on KZread as well as the musical soundtrack. There was a music video of When You Believe that was done by the film with Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. And yes while I do agree that it was sad and unfortunate that a lot of innocent lives had to be lost dear in the final plague, we must remember it was the pharaoh who first threaten to kill the firstborn Hebrews. The pharaoh practically challenged God and he got beaten. And yes the Passover is a Jewish holiday that is celebrated in remembrance of the freedom that was won after the night of the final plague.

This is indeed the Passover story and why Jews have a Passover Seder ( Meal) every year around this time ( Spring).

They were not innocent in Egypt because they went along with having slaves and also pharaoh would never let the slave unless their was a strong hand that would convince him. Remember he had plenty of chances to let them go and pharaoh kept lying and going against his word so he made his decision. So God did what only God has the right to do. Eye for and eye and the taker of life. That was the only thing that would make pharaoh let the Hebrews leave

Jews have a tradition on the night of the Seder, the Passover dinner: we recite the Ten Plagues, and after each one, we spill a drop of wine out of our glasses (which is a symbol of happiness). Like Moses in this movie (which in this way is far superior to the live action adaptation “The Ten Commandments”) we celebrate our liberation from slavery, but we also grieve that our freedom only came after the suffering of the Egyptians.

We need to see this from a spiritual perspective, not a human one. All humanity is born into sin. None are righteous. We all deserve death and hell. It is only through the mercy of God and His divine grace that any are spared from His wrath. When God judges people, it’s not harsh. It’s true justice.

I agree on that too after all the videos on KZread about a bunch of people who do Reaction to the Prince of Egypt all they care about is the movie and the music they don't even pay attention to the Biblical True story of it all because they're theying to not believe of the reality of the movie and there are people who don't believe that The red sea crossing didn't happen which it did or like how people think that God doesn't exist which he does exist and there are a bunch of Evidence of God all around us from non religion to religion even though our lord God Jesus Chist who is God in real life he's not a religion God all of that came from Mankind
