I'm going to date myself here, it is what it is: when I started working for a small law enforcement agency at the very beginning of the 90's they had Uzis like this one as their issued SMG. They were as well-worn as the one you are shooting. Because they were so old and because of the growing popularity of H&K's now famed MP-5, which was really catching on by then, our agency switched to the suppressed MP-5s.

Have you had any issues with the feed ramp and the subsonic rounds? I can fire supersonic FMJs all day with no feed issues on mine however my feed ramp doesn't like the snub nose subbies. I know BWE firearms had a different feed ramp you could buy however I'd prefer to not alter the frame since you literally have to cut the existing one out to install it. And then I get to 8:37 in the video and thats exactly what I'm talking about haha

The Uzi is such a cool gun. It’s awesome to see how Israel’s weapon development has advanced over the years. IWI has been producing some incredible stuff and I really appreciate that they adopted the Tar-21. I’m a huge fan of bullpups just for the practicality of having a full length barrel in a smaller size rifle. I really wish the United States would adopt a bullpup but we find ourselves in many diverse environments combating enemies. A bullpup rifle is absolutely perfect in a close combat environment like Gaza, so Israel really does refine their military capabilities for the immediate threats at hand.

I like using the wood stock for a more comfortable cheek weld.

I used the UZI Galil, and though it was fun, it is a poor military choice for a subgun. Rate of fire is too slow, and thru prolonged usage, the thumb safety becomes an issue. If your grip remains strong, holding the safety with enough pressure, all is well. If not, the sear starts to drag on the bolt, giving the operator the WTF is going on? I usually gave them to new recruits for training only, and to burn off mission bring back ammo. The HK MP5 is the Queen of CQB.
