Pretty soon the wheel would have new metal brackets mounted to anchor every peg securely. The dividing lines on the wheel would appear thicker than usual.

This was awesome and hilarious! Thanks for sharing this! Bob and TPIR should've given them both $1000 just for this amazing spinoff.

October 4 1985 was an epic game show day. That same day on Jeopardy!, Chuck Forest retired as the biggest winner at that point.

Goodness, the reaction from the audience after that last tie -- might have been the loudest I've ever heard on TPIR.

I saw this live. My mom let me stay home from high school that Friday. It was my uncle's birthday too. It was 1985. The blonde lady won when he hit 15 cents beating the other lady who got 5 cents.

Oh my gosh... that alone is worthy of a gold star episode right there. And you're right, Y&R and other soap operas will not be seen today so that we can see the rest of these fun spinoffs.

Kawana was so sweet and innocent, and the second lady was lost as to what the heck was happening... 😂

Everyone asking what the odds are, if Maureen is consistently exerting the same force that causes a perfect full 2 revolutions each time, the chances are very high. Have maureen keep spinning, and you will see she will hit 2 perfect revolutions more than not. This whole ordeal was made possible only because of Maureen. 😅

Maureen did not know what the hell was going on. Barker had to tell her she was going to the showcase and she still looked befuddled.

Love when the spinoffs get so long, Bob starts mentioning they won't be able to show Y&R today just so they can finish this episode of The Price Is Right! Way better than the heavily edited garbage we see with Drew Carey..

Well in fairness, today's hour long time slot only allows an average of 42/44 minutes without commercials, so it's not exactly something the show can control.

That was so hilarious with a four way tie.

It's a shame that Maureen wasn't the first to spin. She would have won $11,000!

Wow 4x! I think they should bring Bob Barker on for his 100 th Birthday in December ... depending on his health. I would definitely watch it.

Unfortunately, he passed on 8/26/23 at age 99. 😮😢

Bob told her to spin it hard at 3:40. The reason is she had spun it exactly the same 4 previous times, and he didn't want another tie.

RIP Bob You're truly missed.

Through the "Barker" Era, not only was four ties the record during the big wheel segment, but it was also the number of times all four contestants overbid as well.

@@ajk Not sure. I don't watch it as much during the Drew Carey era but if it did it would more likely be edited for broadcast since the timing of the show has been 38 minutes for the past 25 years (compared to at least 48 prior).

I remember when the contestants didn,t get that wheel all the way around & Bob Barker would jokingly say in his almost anger type voice--NOW YOU GET THAT WHEEL ALL THE WAY AROUND OR I.LL KICK YOU IN THE ANKLE!!--WTF?! 😂 HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA!!

The blonde lady won on the 5th spin, hitting 15 cents, the brunette hit 5 cents. Still, they were only 2 frames apart.

It's moments like 👍🏻 this that make you think 🤔 the wheel 🛞 was being controlled.

I have to wonder if that is also the record for lowest score to get to the showcase showdown at 15c.

the odds of three ties in a row, in this wheel, are 1 in 8000. right? 4 times is 1 in 160,000.

there are 20 spaces on the wheel so there's a 1/400 chance that you'll get a 2nd spinoff a 1 in 160,000 chance for a 3rd spinoff a 1 in 64,000,000 chance for the 4th spinoff

Call cbs and tell them to extend tpir so young and the restless can happen 😂😂😂😂😂

That would’ve been awesome if they had both gotten a dollar after she said what she said.

This is also an episode you will never see again on the streaming services -- it was a functional illegality that the episode was aired in the first place!

And the very next day Bob's hair turned WHITE! No, but I'm sure this added to it LOL

Here's a solution to the problem with multiple spin-offs. After the first contestant spins a number, then that number becomes a '0'.
