I was also impressed when I saw that car. I can only imagine how cool it would be to have it today in that kind of conditions

Bob Barker will always be the king of daytime TV! Ranks up there with Johnny Carson, although his show was late night.

hate to say but that isn't a tv sound now. that is a bad aliment of heads for the sound on the vcr really. if your tv made that sound there is a problem too. that is not a normal sound.

Hi GSR! I won the showcase on "The Price is Right" show #3921D, aired December 22, 1980 (it was a Christmas show). This was really before people had VCR's, so I never was able to get a copy. Is there anyway you know of to get a copy of this show?

Ask Fremantle if they have a studio master copy of the episode you were on, as it's likely that GSN didn't air it due to a possible fur coat.

I have to say I felt bad for the old gentleman in the car game. I mean, if you watch the game you can tell he really doesn’t understand what’s going on. He’s just kind of going along with the flow. I think he lost because he didn’t get the game. It was a language issue. And that’s sad. Do you know what else that you never saw on the price is right back in the day. And I don’t know if it’s true or not with Drew Carey‘s version of the Price is right. But you never saw anyone with a handicap on here. No one with a wheelchair or crutches or whatever. And if you look at the studio, it was never set up for anybody in a wheelchair. Everything with steps. I always thought that was kind of ridiculous. The only game so I can think of from the time that had anyone with any type of disability was card shark. They had a blind girl and her seeing-eye dog on there. And she was winning. Pretty damn good too.

Wow, this is amazing footage. I'm in my 40s, I loved this. But I was sitting here wondering how many women kissed Bob Barker over all those years. He could've had any woman alive at that point. He was one of the few mainstream faces on TV. If u made it on TV in those times u were like a GOD. lol.

Pretty incredible the first contestant won all those great prizes with such ease. Back then Cadis were still very desirable, especially that type of coupe. Perfect match. However, the second game, Bob really flubbed. That whole segment was Awkward! Signey... Poor girl... Lisa was cute, but a nervous wreck. As soon as she picked the washer and dryer, I knew she was also clueless. LOL. Linda won the cheap crap car.. Amazing disparity within the games, though, somehow it fit her. How the contestants that won the final round ended up winning seemed odd based on how I remember it originally working. Edmond was a dilt. Enjoyed watching. Fun show!
