Thank you for teaching us so much. You are also a precious jewel!!
Crocheting would be SO FUN!! I am a quilter, but never learned to crochet. I wished I had sat by my MawMaw and learned. I got to have her in my life until I was 35, she was such a dolly! I miss her sooooo much!
Soap making, herbs, tinctures, natural soaps and oils, and of course crocheting! All things I love along with my flower gardens and vegetable gardens.
You cannot know how much I love watching all of your videos. Both yours and your mama 's. I hope this doesn't sound too corny but it is so calming. Even though I am not there physically, I feel like I can be there spiritually. We all need all the help we can get in these kooky times. Anyway, on a lighter note, if you guys find all of the four-leaf clovers you can and feed them to your chickens, maybe one of them will lay a golden egg. LOL! JK.

So glad you like our videos, God bless you! 🥰
I used to watch my Gramma make lye soap outta ashes bacon grease and lye powder in her maytag wringer washer she would crochet for hours too and as a kid I remember the sewing circles making some of the most beautiful blankets of all different materials. Warms my heart to see some of those things still being done. Thank you !
Loved seeing Corey feed the chickens playing her guitar and Katie cutting rocks. The old post office box was very interesting.
You girls make me so proud to be a southern woman. I get perturbed at how we are portrayed as stupid, slow and simple people. Clearly, anyone who watches y’all will bear witness to the fact that you are incredibly smart, wise, quick witted and complex. There’s one fella who I watch that anytime he wants to express a thought he finds ignorant, he uses a (really badly done I might add) southern drawl to express his point. 😤 🙄 I always think, who’s really simpleminded here? Thanks for showing the world who we really are.

My grandfather was a woodworker and made two of those postal box safes for my grandma for each side of their bed. He made them about 60ish years ago and I have the one that belonged to him (as my grandma is still alive and still uses her's). I love them, they are so cool!
Yes, I do Love crocheting. My mother made all kinds of baby clothes, blankets, toys, dolls, etc. Miss her so... thanks for sharing. Makes my heart sing

I love these kinds of relaxed and down to earth videos me and my mom watch y’all and your Mom’s Channel Celebrating Appalachia as well. We’d love to see more videos on your hobbies and vlog like videos like this and maybe back story on how y’all got into them and tutorials on them like the crocheting gardening/herbalism the different jewelry makings, soap making and instruments especially guitar I’ve always wanted to learn how to play and what to look for when buying a guitar and more of the cool trinkets, antiques and collectibles and definitely the little side stories and stories and in general like about the eagle in the mailbox/piggy bank and how ya saved the one from your Grandpa’s stove. Y’all just live such a nice, down to earth and relaxing way have such up lifting personalities it’s really up lifting in these times especially for me and my mom where both handicapped and it’s very relaxing uplifting and motivating we thank y’all for such great content. @@thepressleygirls Corie, I also am not a big fan of cilantro; tastes like soap to me also. From what I've read about it, you're genetically pre-programmed to either love it or not. Funny story about the valerian...I have three cats, and they go as crazy for valerian in the sleepy time herbal tea I drink as they would for catnip. I have put a few teabags on the floor and my oldest girl Rose will get so frisky and playful, rubs all over that teabag over and over again. So fun to watch.
I really liked the way you spent time with your chickens and pulled the grass for them. I see a lot of folks just throw the feed in the coop get the eggs and never say too much to "the producers of breakfast". Also that you featured Mollie, the dog you were caring for. My husband, his dad, and one of his sisters have this gift of being able to find at least one four-leaf clover every time they come across a clover patch. They don't even really have to search for them - they can usually just look down and one will pop out at them. I have never found one on my own, and neither has my mother-in-law. They will often sort of "plant" them or try to set us up to find them which is sweet, but it's not the same as having their incredible gift of good luck, I guess! Almost every big book in my house has a million pressed and dried four-leaf clovers stuck inside of it. So not only do they find them all the time, they save every single one!

This video was really helpful... I didn't know chickens liked grass so much. I've been buying expensive snacks for them for the last 6 years! Love the garden! I like hearing about the plants and what you can use them for, how you mix'em up, etc... I like chicken tips. I'm in Dallas, Texas but a lot of us have backyard chickens.
Just recently found your channel while watching your mom’s channel. I am happy to see how y’all are representing the traditional Appalachian lifestyle. Y’all are very talented and entertaining. The first video I saw was where your mom was asking y’all to define the old Appalachian terms. That was so funny that I had to get my wife and kids to sit down and watch it. I remember my mom and grandmother using many of those old sayings. Have y’all ever thought about coming to Homestead Hollow in Springville Alabama? They hold a festival there twice a year that would be perfect for y’all. Really enjoying the channel as well as your mom’s channel. Keep up the good work.

I’m always the same way with the 4 leaf clovers. As a kid, I made my 4 siblings so mad at me because I could find them one right after the other. Thanks for the memories!
Fun video! Thanks for sharing. I went to college (Mercer University) in Macon, GA in 1980, and at that time they were still using the old post office that had been there in the basement of the student center for I don't know how many years. My post office box door was a lot like that, just a little bit smaller. If I recall, my box number was 215. It had similar dials to the ones on yours. It was kinda old timey even then.

This tip might help when cutting rocks, after you make your last cut, measure from a flat spot to the face of the recent cut, and cut yourself a board the length from the inside wall to the cut face, and you put that rock back in or any cut rock, it should come into position like magic :D then start cutting to the next desired width.
