No way! i completed my first ever pc-build 2 days ago. its a gigabyte rtx 4070 with an ryzen 7 7700 and an msi b650-p wifi 😂 also with a water cooler but in the lian li dynamic case. I love it so much!

I just built myself a new pc with a 4070 in it as well! 7900x on an Asus ROG Strix B650e-f. Been absolutely loving it on 1440p, it absolutely smashes every game, and DLSS 3 on cyberpunk is a GAME CHANGER

7900x is way too good CPU for a rtx 4070. If your gaming if i was you i would have went with a 4070 ti or 4080 then R7 7700X for 4070 TI and R7 7800X3D for RTX 4080. But if your using it for work a Ryzen 9 7900x is a great CPU

Also for people new to pc's . when u buy am5 buy 6000 ram sticks bc its the sweet spot for am5 and matters with performance.

About 3 months ago I built mine using the i5 13600k with the 4070ti. Works great.

I'm building a pc very close to this build, just with a ryzen 7 7700X3D, but I'm not using an AIO cooler. I'm using a Noctua NH-U12A, as it's also my first build. Is a liquid cooler always required for a cpu like that? I don't plan to overclock it or anything, I just need a bit more than what the gpu would use because I plan to use the PC for work too

the 4070 will be my next card in a few months time when saved up for one as bought an expenise S23U phone this month insteed but have a 3060 ti so its not to bad.

My son has an i7-12700KF with a Asus TUF Gaming 4070 OC and it smashes every game at 1440p max settings no worries.

Couldn't you put the 16 pin power supply cable to the other side (not over the graphics card)? It might look nicer.

Very close to my build! I've got the asus dual 4070 and the 7700x.

@PcCentric it's insane! Overclocked the 7700x to allcore 5.4ghz at 1.18v, and the 4070 to +150mhz core and +1200mhz vram, still can't get the 4070 to even hit 55° while gaming with my fan curve. Love the vids man! Keep up the awesome builds

The 4070's have came up significantly since this came out they are sitting between $900USD-$1200USD I got mine for $750USD a few weeks ago..

I play on nintendo switch and i’m looking to start building my own pc. the thing is i know nothing about building pc’s and i’m on a budget. I’ve been looking for pre built pc’s that are less than 600 dollars but i’ve had no luck.

I previously bought the antec p20c "with RGB" I had a minor issue with the Rgb controller connecting to the LED button on top of the case. The 2 pin connector was bent and the cable was missing. ordered it off amazon new, so buyers beware lol

what do you think of a rx 7600 and r5 5600 for a 240hz 1080p gaming experience?

Would something like a 13700 or 13900 not reduce the chance of a bottleneck?

honestly as someone who has a 4070 build ive seen games using more than 16gb of ram. for example Jedi Survivor was using on max settings with fsr quality 20 gb or ram.

BeamNG can be used for racing, its not the most realistic handling, but for endurance races its great! There is a seperate company that made an game where you can make your own cars, which is what I specalise in Content wise, the companies worked together to make an Exporter so you could take your self made car and put it into Beam! There are not many of the AutoBeam Content Creators, but we're always looking to get more people watching the games

7800x3D is too overkil for a 4070 i would say at least a 4080 before needing such a CPU, 7700x will be fine, PC Centric used a 7600 and besides a little bottlenecking in COD it worked fine, therefore the 7700x will

I have a 3070TI paired with a I-9 12900k. I was looking into the 4070TI but couldn't pass on a 6950xt deal for $569 last week. For the videos comparations this card can give same or better performance than the 4070. Plus it have more VRAM. What are your thoughts?

For pure performance you got the better card. I know some people love DLSS and ray tracing, or they stream and need the encoders, but for straight up daily driving and gaming you got the better card at a really good price.

😁Buy both AMD CPU and GPU and you get 2 copies of Starfield. The 7600/7700 should do well in those games but the 7800X3D will do even better in games like Rust and Tarkov.

I mostly bought these parts but more importantly the power supply. when I press my on button absolutely nothing happens. it's either a dead PSU or my power switch isn't working just after it working with my previous parts 5 hours ago (I was upgrading my system, and I followed the manual for the case wires on the mobo) I'm absolutely exhausted and troubled. I have plans to rebuild it with a lower wattage power supply just to find out if it's a dead PSU but could use more tips and help please.

Is minor stuttering in games commone? I have almost the same specs but I'm facing a small stuttering issues here and there. Like random frame time spikes

by no means would I call a 7700 a mid range :) I would say its the more of the common man's high end choice. I own one, and its a beast in its own right, with some hefty power behind it :)
