20:40 For the bows after making them you gotta put an arrow, similar to the arrow already in your previous bow and compare values. It will never show correct if you don’t load the arrow into the bow. Stupid? Yup. Fun pimp style lmaoooo 💜

The damage value shown includes the damage contributed by the arrow type(and bullet type also), not as stupid as most things tbh

I've seen my fair share of youtubers who have ten times my experience in a game and they still make mistakes that I can spot, such is life

mods also increase the damage stat on tools and weapons regardless of what they do. Even a torch or semi auto trigger will increase the base damage so that's why the knife and bow didn't look as good as the same or higher level versions

I dig the night vision choice, over the flashlight. In a stealth build the flashlight gives away your position too easily, and the Nightvision preserves it, and even with grayscale I can see things fine in the video. Beyond that, a better bow will make this build sing. Either a bow or a crossbow works, though I'm fonder of the crossbow.

Vanguard 1, desert base. Vanguard 2, winter base. That seems fitting.

Yes, any source of flashlight completely ruins your stealth. You should stick with the night vision

Fun fact: Its called "Marvin's Getaway" because there are steps out front of the cabin with a corpse that had fallen down them in a wheelchair. In other words, wheelchair-bound Marvin was trying to get away. Love the dark humor in this game lmao

9:41 - You need to harvest coffins to have possibility to win precious gems but most of the time you will receive bones and I believe on this same cemetery you should find buried ammunition box.

And what you get does not count towards the challenge for gems/nuggets, so generally not worth the effort vs drops.

Man if that zombie broke that chest, the hilarity of knowing it contained the helmet light mod, so close to losing the one thing you were dead set on looting.

I found a legendary parts box in a salvage contry box and in a clothing pile, so keep an eye out for those, also those office chair are a great source of leather, you pick them up and scrap them on the inventory for 6 leather each!

I've enjoyed using night vision for stealth play for a while now. It's crazy how much effect the helmet lights have on waking up the zombies, especially in higher tier POIs.

I love the look of the NVGs now. You can actually tell what you're looking at

I do enjoy the NVG's. It is immersive. The glowing eyes on the ferrals make them much more scary.

Love the Night Vision. Everything is bright and clear

The night goggles not only work better for stealth, it's also something I don't think you've done for a while, if ever. So my vote is to keep rolling with the night vision. As for Bob, perhaps we'll see more of him once you get the gyrocopter. I can't wait to dive into 1.0 myself and see all the new and updated things.

A long time ago I did an agility stealth run. The problem with stealth was two fold. 1. Triggered (i.e.: you cross an invisible line) Zombie ambushes kind of break stealth where as being "invisible" is big part of your armor. 2. If you stealth through an area with an ambush, then on a clear all mission you may be wondering where the last zombies are because of all the ambushes you didn't trigger. However, watching you do this, and I sure hope you go far with it, has given me the urge to give it another go. Also clearing PoIs with stealth was very slow, especially on the T4 and T5 PoIs.

Night vision is perfectly fine. I like the added element as you sneak through the POI

I feel like rocking the night vision is awesome. Especially if youre trying to sneak through a poa. That makes it more fun and immersive. You had my full attention when you had the nightvision on.

This is by far to date your best series. One thing about your quality 4 bow being "better" than your quality 5 bow, that's comparing the stat of your new (q5) bow with NO arrow equipped, but calculating the damage for the q4 bow with your IRON arrow equipped. So your level 5 bow would have actually been better

That warehouse zombie was trying to destroy the loot crate to prevent you from getting a helmet flashlight but you got him just in time!

God I miss the old wights, especially stumbling into a feral one early, and just screaming in terror as it sprints towards you, shrugging off any arrows or bullets. The old model was terrifying at night.

While doing a fetch quest in the crypts last night I dug up all the graves for rotten meat and found 2 legendary parts inside the buried caskets. So definitely worth checking stuff you normally wouldn't.

Hi Tem! as always great job! remember that u need to change the arrows on the bow the see the actual upgrade. the rank5 have stone arrows default, and the rank 4 have iron... love your content!!

The thing why your lvl 4 bow does more dmg then the lvl 5 is cause of the type of arrow u equipped, normally a new craftet bow has stonearrows and your lvl 4 was equipped with ironarrows, just craft a new lvl 5 and eq with ironarrows to compare them or eq stonearrows on the lvl 4, its the same with every ammo type on every gun, it doesnt show u this as green like mods would do. And also i love your content, keep up the great work u do!!

One thing I discovered with this experimental was that when you get to higher levels and invest points into Lucky Looter one of the BEST places to try and find the legendary parts is at the savage country. I want to say the tier 3 savage country, but with four points in Lucky Looter at around level 20 or so I netted 5 legendary parts by looting all the clothing shelves and clothing piles on the floor. XD

You attacking that zombie you just killed again because you thought it moved again checks out. I doubt anyone in a zombie apocalypse would be all there. Thanks for keeping my immersion, lol.

loving the fact your trying stealth this time round, interested to see how sneak attack stands up against the buffed zombie hp, oh and for the bows you compared make sure they are both loaded with the same arrow type before you compare them (readout seems to treat the bow and arrow as a whole for dmg). As for the light situation just keep the headlight in the bike for base building, mining ect, after all rng saw fit to reward your patience and she be a fickle mistress.

I mentioned how good savage country POI is a couple vids ago. If you need legendary parts that's the place to go. Tons of armor parts and usually 3-6 legendary parts from a single run. Based on my last few at least.

expensive gaming computer, check. expensive gigantic gaming monitor, check. watch your favorite youtuber clear a POI in black and white with a restricted screen, check... for some reason?

Stealth is fun. I'd suggest rolling with the NVGs instead of the light mod so you can still use the purifier. Or you can put the pocket mod in and just carry the purifier for when you need to hydrate in the field.

I really like these NVGs, some people say they prefer the old green color but I coultnt play look at green like that

Molotov at the end room might have been a good place. Night Vision is good AND it does better for your stealth. The head lamp affects your stealth.

I like the new NVG's, they're much better than the old green ones. I like the contrast, things really do appear fairly clear, depth perception is preserved. Good stealth today! You're going to enjoy those exploding bolts. They do more damage than exploding arrows but arrows load quicker.

28:36 Someone was saying that the ladder 'issue" is a bug. I don't think so. Jump while on the ladder and you'll jump off. Makes perfect sense and has been happening all along, afik.

Good loot! Damn ferals they do move fast through that hole in the wall. Congrats on NVG's. Just a note: a wandering horde big mama dropped a lvl 1 iron crossbow for me on Day 8. It is possible to get one that way, and I'm way far behind your progression.

For aloe, look for clumps of cactii. I usually find a few. The game seems to spawn that way. Like you'll find a clump of Chrysanthemum / Goldenrod / stones in the pine forest.

With these new night vision goggles, you don't need the flashlight anymore.

Night vision makes it seem like you're in an old horror movie.

I can see why you are wearing the preacher gloves cause stealth builds require the patience of saint. Also the shouts of joy for that one reward was amazing.

iirc the sneak attack bonuses can apply to explosives detonated from stealth so that may be a fun way to mass clear a dormant group haha

@20:15, as others have said, you have to remember to load the new weapon with the same ammo type as the old weapon. With bows, it defaults to stone arrows, so the damage is going to be way less. Also, as of A21, stats no longer overlap between quality levels, so there should never be a Q5 that does less damage than a Q4 (assuming the same ammo type is selected).

The basic harvesting quests will still need to be done with stone tools.

I love the new NVGs, they got the grayscale range just right for identifying the z's from background. I want to use them all the time once I find a set.

It's sort of funny. My situation is that Bob is closer to where I am by a significant amount compared to Jen. The desert is between my forest biome and burnt biome. Also I noticed that traders are divided one "type" per biome. You will only find Rekt in Forest, Jen in burnt, Bob in desert (I have 2 currently xD), Hugh in the Snow, and I assume Joel in the Wasteland.

I'm shocked you got NODs on day 8. Talk about a lucky find!

Just played 1.0 last night, and with the changes. I did struggle a fair bit more than I have in beta 21. And i totally did not get the same kind of luck like Tem here.
