Actually I do like the fact Luffy *was* the side character during this arc. Yeah he is always the main character but Luffy throughout the war had to always be helped out by others and constantly went against people far stronger than him (Kuma, Mihawk, all three admirals, Sengoku, etc.) To the opposition, he was a mere annoyance to them and he only fully caught their attention after releasing his conquerors

I prefer these kind of setup for Luffy and the other main protagonist. there must be someone better than them just incase they are in trouble, that someone is the absolute life saver. if luffu and the gang is the best in the series, there would be no more thrill and excitement.

the one and only time luffy was truly just shocked by strength, not because said strength was being used against him or his friends, but just the pure power of it.

Anyone else catch that Aokiji didnt melt his ice? he was lowkey trying to save ace Edit: I misunderstood the scene, I thought kizaru asked aokiji “why he couldn’t just melt it”. He was asking Akainu instead of aokiji like I first thought 😅

@@thornray1025I don’t think he can. Devil fruit powers are pretty unique. I think he can only freeze things otherwise he’d find himself controlling water.

I don't know man, if you counting a dead of a old era Yonko and Pirate king son without losing a admiral and vice admiral is counted as losing They DID WIN THE WAR, but lose the fight since what WB said lift the era of pirates again
