Always love your posts and impressed with you knowledge. As someone with a degree in Photography and minored in Art History, and survived and passed Dr. McElroy’s History of Photography classes, I wholly approve of your presentation…!!! I would only add that early photographers also photographed deceased children as “momento mori”, which is where the term “sleeping beauty” comes from, as they were always presented as sleeping posthumously. So Neptune illusion again..!! Also, another source of income was the early practice of “calling cards”, wherein high society would have their portrait taken and present a photographic “card” with their name to the houseman and which was this presented to the lady or Lord of the house while the “caller” would wait outside to be determined if they were allowed to enter at the pleasure of their host. Of course their portraits were always taken in the best light with their beat clothes and thus a bit illusory again. Loved your post!! Well done! Great metaphors and history!! 🙏🏼🤍

Oh, wow, that ending! We as humans do so much to create illusions for our own comfort! Of course, there are the illusions of novels, film, TV and (very powerfully) music. But also, there's interior decoration, fashion, cooking . . . we alter reality all the time and sometimes come to think of it as reality. Not a bad thing. And sometimes, life does imitate art and turns those illusions into a reality. Thank you, Christopher!

My God...what a journey you took us all on today. At first, as I was in my Tempur-Pedic bed, and it was early, I fell asleep. How Neptunian is that? The second time around I was dressed and awake and spell bound. At the end I cried. I cried for the first time I saw those 2 first episodes of Star Trek. But this time it is with 50 years of living, studying, and exploring. The way you encapsulate the many threads of your carpet are truly mesmerizing. Thank you again and again.

I have my moon/Ascendant/mercury in Pisces 1H. Now that Neptune is slowly leaving Pisces, everything is so clear to me. I have a habit of drifting off and envisioning things as I want them to be. I've been this way since childhood. It's very difficult to navigate daily life sometimes.

I love the simultaneous dual-edged swords posed by Neptune: you want/need to believe, but one still has deal with reality as it stands in the moment. Insofar as the ability to escape pain, we have to remember that while it is good and needed i.e., Anesthesiology, it is also temporary. We have to come back to and deal with reality in our escape from it. Socially, it is a matter of honestly discerning why we need to escape reality to begin with. 🎇🔱🌌🤔Yet, illusion (imagination, another Neptunian trait) also gives us the innovations that we have today too. Hence again, the simultaneous dual-edged sword. Thank you once again, Christopher for the thought-provoking episode! ♥♥
