If you think about it, Post Modern Jukebox really is the musical embodiment of the phrase “Back to the Future”. They take modern songs and take them back them into something older. Really makes you feel like you’re taken back in the past while still being definitely in modern future times.

Honestly... they sometimes make better versions of today songs... not saying this is better than original, i didn't hear the original version and so i have no compacomparison, but sometimes... they make something that is medicore and simply boring after the same hook plays for like 4th time and make it... fun to listen to.

You're right about Huey. I would put Daryl Hall in that group, too.
Dang! The lady has a huge voice, enough to fill a bigger venue. She's gonna do just fine.
I was in a small bar in Providence one night listening to the house band. It’s a place where you never know who will drop in. Many famous people have dropped in and sat in with the band. This night I was lucky enough to have been there when Sarah and Katie Kadan come in dressed to the nines after their performance at a local venue. I was treated to a 9 minute rendition of Rock Me Baby that blew the roof off the place! She can sing the phone book! They are so talented! I will remember that night until my dying day.
I like Huey Lewis and the News. Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this; Fore!, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.

It's absolutely criminal that this PMJ masterpiece hasn't shown up on my feed till just now. My goodness, what a voice. She's right up there with Miche Braden for my favorite PMJ vocal powerhouses. Also...is that Harold Lloyd on banjo? He's looking remarkably well-preserved for someone who died in 1971. What is he, 131 years old now? 😂 ALSO also, I couldn't help but notice that last name. It'd be pretty amusing if this absolute diva was somehow related to Stanzi.
