I don't know, how I get here, I'm Polish as white as possible. However we ware never a colonial empire, so please don't call me badly. Why you didn't say anything abaut that depiction? This very old depiction of black madonna from Czestochowa is extremely powerful also in Poland. She is also called the mother here. People preyed in front of her for freedom in bad times. Look what Lech Walesa, guy who peacefully overthrown communism in Central Europe, had on his jacket! When Poland was inclusive, everyone rights ware respected, we ware the largest and one of wealthiest countries in Europe, but when we behaved badly, oppressed Ukrainians, we ware punished by taking away the freedom for a century - probably that's how a good mother would do. I heard the story abaut Polish soldiers switching the sides during the Haitian revolution, so honor forbid them to enslave people.
