Nice! I want a Hummer that’s more maneuverable on the road. I have an H1 and I’m looking for a Hummer I can daily drive. Any ability to keep the Hummer 4wd System?

Awesome build, one question I have is after the 6-speed is put how does the 321 on the shifter come into play? Is it still functioning with 1 being the first and second gears in the case of the Allison for example or is it a completely different setup?

Can the Duramax go in deep water like the 6.2- 6.6 has a lot more electronics -- 6.5 has a turbo- deep water will kill it when the turbo floods right

Yes, dmax and Allison as a combo. Its still on the dash in the stock location.

What's the towing capacity?

GM should’ve made these from factor with some beefed up suspension, would’ve been a cool competitor to the excursion.

Wow it's a small world. I'm pretty sure I saw this same truck drive by the park where I was hanging out with my kids. I looked up "h2 duramax swap" because I realized I had never seen a diesel H2 before. Sure enough here it is, the very first result, pretty sure this is the exact truck I saw - I am also in Washington state like the owner. Had the same guard/rack setup and all. Regardless nice work, the H2 has never interested me at all but with a Duramax that would be a totally different thing

@@mitmaks $30k-$32k I believe if I read correctly. I just purchased a used Isuzu box truck with a bad trans and the Isuzu 6.6 from a customer that I’m saving for my swap. Yank the cab and lift off the H2 body and get to swapping, gonna buy a 07 2500 fuel system and see what my options are for engine management system. I can’t afford those West Coast custom builds, but the west coast always makes the best, most reliable, and most perfectly clean builds you will ever find in the world. I’m on that east coast South Carolina budget though.

Would love too have this done too my ‘05 here in Australia! What the cost on doing such a conversion??

I have a 2005 Duramax sierra 4 door, 2500 HD 4x4 with only 99,000 miles on it. I also just picked up a 2007 H2 with only 72,000 miles on it Gas both are in really nice condition. i’m located in Southwest Florida probably 2 1/2 hours below your Florida location. I just had a crazy idea watching your age to build with the diesel put into it. What would it cost to swap the two engines but the diesel in the Hammer put the gas engine in the GMC Sierra.

fighter gamer believe me brother i would if i could.. a slant back H1 in green and black will probably be the only other car i dream if owning. Unfortunately not got 150k to blast on a predator hummer just yet sir. However, the H2 is a beast in its own right anyone who doesn’t think so is lieing to themselves and everyone else. Its giant, sounds incredible and its still a hummer. I have my H2 in the uk and it barely fits on the road so it does the job for me. I do draw the line at h2 though and will never own a h3 i dont think its hummery enough.

Anywhere from 15 to about 22mpg depending on how you drive.

Downside of a diesel in H2 is 1. Payload- at 2200, you'll give up about 500lbs extra for 6.6L with allison 2. Steering will be less responsive(not a huge deal) 3. More wear on front suspension/steering.... 4. How long will that rear diff and drive shaft tolerate the 6.6 Dmax?

Your need to tell his to stay away from the ( Kentucky Fried Rat ) That shit will get you every time. My 2004 H2 only has 145,500 miles on it. It still runs great. I get the email on the price to have the Duramax in. I am thinking on changing a few things around and hope i can get it done. Are if you do trade my H2 in and buy a H1 from you. I owned a H1 for 8 years If i had a foot i would kick my own ass for trading it off. And yes i am in a wheelchair an lost both my legs above the knees in 1993 at my work. It don't stop me from doing anything. I don't need airbags it lower it to get in it. I am 56 yr old an strong have to when your in a wheelchair. I am hoping i can work this out. I don't know how my H2 now is going to put a toy hauler box trailer. With my Cam-Am Maverick X3 turbo Max . Love watching your channel it just make me want to get on faster.

Yep. Duramax spits a lot of oil under. Nothing new.

Imagine how valuable these would be has they made this factory. It would’ve been so easy, but stupid ass GM always makes the worst decisions.

Normally the H2 is one of the most embarrassing vehicles you can drive. Especially it’s TERRIBLE fuel economy, and multiple blind spots. But with the Duramax swap and the right mods, it can be a GREAT off roader, be sure to have Diff locks and light bars

The only way id own an h2. The gas engine is too emberassing 😅. How much the conversion cost? Unprofesional install.

They have a 13 month waiting list that you get on by paying a $5000 non-refundable deposit.

That's not true. We do have a 5k deposit that secures your build location in line. It is refundable and the current wait is about 8 months but that is constantly changing.

@@PredatorInc Two months ago the waiting list was until end of November/beginning of December. I was told the deposit is non-refundable, which makes sense. A deposit is pointless for its purpose if it's refundable. In any case, thanks for the updated wait list time frame.
