If you believe that the marketplace will crash and you are thinking of selling your limiteds now, don't. Yes there is still a chance the marketplace will crash, but unless you are serious about trading, limiteds are accessories that you wear because you like them. So just hold onto them and ignore their price, because people who actually see your account with legit limiteds on your profile will respect you more than someone who has 3 combined pieces to make a valkyrie.

true, but limited kinda got destroyed with the copies like the valk 3 part copies. i have a ton of limiteds and never sold them because i just like them a lot. and i look cool and nice. I would never sell my limiteds even if i was forced. i also keep my limiteds because i can simply show it! people who sell they limiteds before it even happen a crash Are the ones losing money because limiteds can get more and more expensive! just need to wait until the value goes like to 1k to 80M! (probaly) i dont see why people sell their limited even if its nostalgic

if you sacrificed enough of your time and money to roblox to get a valkyrie (a platform getting worse for consumers overtime, example: the christmas theme only on the robux page) I respect you less than someone who got it for cheap and didn't just enjoy a cheap affordable economy, as it should be. There’s a good chance UGC won’t effect things like playful vamp as much as you think, considering the amount of UGC copies there are already and they’re still actually raising (most things still are, the only thing dropping rn really are just rares because rare season dipped) especially stuff like sparkle time fedoras and void star even if they get mega copied people still prefer owning the original, the examples you looked at like those plushie gears have been raising for a while now not due to UGC

I dont think the limites are gonna "die", since I dont think the other items are supposed to affect, since some people still do buy limiteds or trade for them while having some limited copy anyways. Idk we honestly gotta see. And I myself even have seen other values from other years even before ugc came out and they usually remained around the same so yeah I dont know.

7:57 - honestly i like doing those sort of stuff. Combining parts from each knockoff to build something completely new is definetely fun. (I myself even made an infernus with black buttons and black wings since I got bored of the original and the result was cleaner than I expected)

UGC makes more money than the old catalog. Roblox can take 90% of robuxs income, but UGC Creators can get 30% of robuxs income. so yea, this is the new market strategy, which is relying on people. the non-staff players. since roblox have lack of staffs. Also there more companies are making UGC, which is Lamborghini and Nickelodeon. If the Public UGC release, there be more companies are doing the same, selling UGC. its kinda smart market strategy.

Knowing how unpredictable the market is, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually booms while everyone's expecting a huge crash.

For me Roblox is dying as well. Like I’ve been playing Roblox for almost 8 years, and in the middle of 2023, I lost so much interest. Since it was quite boring and it’s hard to find a good game, just like the limited, they are dying. Maybe it’s because I’m growing up and fading from Roblox but I personally don’t think it is. I think it’s just going down hill. I hope Roblox becomes more exciting in the future, and maybe bring back the old events and more Roblox limiteds since they are exciting.

My only opinion is to make every UGC creator able to upload 1 ugc in 1 day so the moderator can detect it immediately

I just like keeping my limiteds as it's the only value I have in my account of 8 years (half my age) and in the past 8 years I have never bought robux over 5$ lmao, not only that but the sentimental value of reminiscing roblox in an older form and the days when they still had official events.

Even with the market crashing, the sentimental value of those items should be enough to keep, robux will always be available but something such as your favorite hat you obsessed over for months or your first limited should matter more. The market will eventually come back after the crash as roblox would HAVE to do something to fix it up. Keep your items because one day the serials themselves should be worth more, the ugc market is most likely going to crash with roblox beginning to mass delete items, keep them and wait. Patience is key, no matter the market, don't rush to sell as it won't do anything.

there's probably gonna be too many items to the point that its no longer worth it to keep it for the future if you are reinvesting which is why i am also selling my limiteds

I think we'll be fine as long as they're special effect items, like particle and sound items....

Sometimes i think roblox hasnt done anything about the catalog because theyre working on a mod team or something, like one day every 1:1 or TOS breaking accessory is going to be deleted out of the blue.

I remember when people made DIY dominuses by getting a black hood item, making their face black, and getting the buttons t shirt

I saw one Time 3 accessory for making a fake dominus on the catalog but the worst is that the image make it look like its some non-textured dominus part but when wearing it, it display the astra dominus or the Overseer dominus (it got banned)

i believe the declination of active players in various roblox games has something to do with it, less players on the platform, less value in limiteds, more of a chance for the economy to crash, most people aren’t only on roblox just to trade

I'd just sell all the limiteds. There's no point in holding deprecated stuff that Roblox clearly doesn't care about. I'd keep the limiteds with sound and the ones you feel have sentimental value. Trading is officially dead anyway, so there isn't really any point to keep them.

Yeah right 😂. Trading has become boring, tedious and slow because of the annoying holding and waiting period. Trade hangout is dead, trading channels are dead, various trading communities are dead, there's no on-site forum to facilitate trading anymore. UGC limiteds have no intrinsic value whatsoever. Trading was already in a steady decline before these updates. There's no longer an incentive to trade for limiteds when I can get sparkle time fedora for 100 robux - I'd simply be trading for the 'Limited' ribbon. They have made every single classic limited an NFT as a consequence of this. I don't hate UGC; It's just that this was managed poorly considering they were thinking about this change in paradigm already back in 2018 when they kind of stopped releasing limiteds. @@HauntakuTV

I highly doubt ugc will effect limiteds, as the people who buy ugc limiteds wouldn’t buy normal limiteds, I may be wrong but since ugc limiteds began, I’ve only really seen prices rise

Disagree, for the most most part obviously sound hats and effect hats won't be affected by the public UGC wave but even hats like a CF and a Valk I think will keep their value just like designer clothing in the real world retains value, even if you can get a cheap knockoff it's more a status thing to have the original. Bruh I had 13k worth of limiteds, after 2023 it went down to 10k now 7k, bro roblox needs to fix this. Luckily, when I bought these items they were like 1-3k so I didn't/have not lost value/profit yet. But I remember I had a friend who had 30k rap, now its like 20k. This is a major issue for us.

once (or if) everyone gets access to make UGC, its gonna give you a lot of clout I feel to own the real item, and not some knockoff that was 50 Robux lol were just gonna have to wait and see what happens

The only way roblox can fix ugc limited copies situation is to bring back system that allows players to upload a item only after full review.

I think the Classic limiteds will drop in value, but still be expensive. The only change that will happen is you wont be able to flex on Noobs anymore. Because all of the poor people are just going to say "why get that Valk, when I can get the Dollar Store version of it?". Limiteds will no longer be a status symbol.

Yep, probably that's what would happen. Just a matter of people not being able to flex with those as much and that's it. It is also worth to mention the infamous platform policy (moderation) which often impacts the og players decision to leave and not return regardless of their inventory. Which is the matter of 2 sides as it may and may not impact the price of classic limiteds for good or for worse.

Personally, I've just been collecting the limiteds I like. Also, the good thing about limiteds is that you can actually trade them so there'll always be people looking for them. I don't tend to resell my limiteds, I just trade them away for something I do want.

I am a small trader (compared to other traders) with 45.5K value and i can confirm that so many limiteds lost their value. For example legit fedora what was in the video lost 2k value in 3 days (8K->7K->6K) but i don't think i'll sell my limiteds yet because it's just a fun thing to do

I believe that Roblox limiteds are going to maintain their value over time. While there may be copies circulating, the value of the originals cannot be underestimated. Original limited items hold a unique status and significance within the community, making them more admirable to collectors and enthusiasts. The originality and scarcity of some of these originals set them apart, reassuring that their value remains even of the chance of replication. Even if the limiteds become cheap, or unwanted, I will purchase them because I feel that they are better than the cheap ones you can get. Most of the qualities of the items are rubbish.

I don’t agree I think limiteds are selling still and they won’t crash there’s a lot of people that dream of having the real thing and the UGC limiteds will probably get deleted since they are copies. I won’t cash out my limiteds tbh. And also if you look at the catalog the limiters are still selling for high. Like the faces now are 60k+. Silver king is around 250k despite having ugc copies.

The original will always hold mote value than the dupe. People see it more as a social status, not just a cool looking item.

tbh honest keep all the rare items and the items you like the most and the items you were on your avatar and then sell all the rest
