Do you live next to any Amish? People talk about the Amish a lot, but most have never seen them. The Amish are 1 generation away from being integrated into general society, at least the ones who live next to me. They skirt around every tenet, and it's laughable. Cordless power tools and trucks now. Anyways, I do agree in spirit.

How though ? We're spread out all over the world. Plus, we have to stay anonymous for security reasons

The potential is set at birth but obviously many things can prevent an individual from reaching their potential. He was oversimplifying there.

Intelligence is the native ability of a person's mind to comprehend and create complex models. It is the ability/skill in learning, not the information which is learned. You even use the word "knowledge", which is what describes that which is learned. Intelligence is separate.

​@@danmcd490you can teach a chimp sign language, but he'll never understand the difference between next tuesday and the tuesday after next... he just doesn't have the higher circuit for it . the point is that people are born with different gradient of how far and fast they can access and integrate knowledge. really high inborn capability unlocks assymetrical amounts of potential given the right circumstances....it's not fair like 2 identical computers with different Ram capacities...they can run the same programs but one will get much much much more work done if given optimized programs to run. and if you give them both a garbage OS, designed to make the worser one docile....it doesnt matter how good the hardware is on the good ones. the point is that alot of bad policy is made pretending that leadership isn't best vested in the most truthful worldviews carried by the best intellects. it's uncomfortable to grapple with the fact that people are born with crappy computers and alot of them are so crappy they can't even be convinced they don't get it and never will.
