Love The Police. They are only second to Led Zeppelin in the amount of amazing playlist songs in rotation. Funny how I converted some old-timers into fans of the Police. One I mentioned how they're so reggae, the other I told the story behind "Don't Stand So Close To Me" and it all snapped into place. Very few people dislike them.

I remember this song knocked me out. One day in Berkeley I went to this dudes apartment and he cranked this song so freaking loud. It was amazing. Probably my favorite song.

If you've never seen the movie "48 Hrs." with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte, you have got to watch it, if not just because it's a great movie, but for the scene where Eddie is singing (um, attempting to sing...) The Police's song "Roxanne" out loud (while he is wearing headphones) in jail. Comedy GOLD !

They are a talented band, and yes the musicianship Stewart, when the band broke up he started writing symphonies, SYMPHONIES!!, I was shocked, you know the drummer?, but then I realized this was something he had always been working on, and that he must have been classically trained, like Dany Elfman, did that crazy but good song "It's A Dead Man's Party"by Oingo Boingo, I think from that crazy movie with Rodney Dangerfield where he goes back to school, college with his son, lol by the by do watch it, just as crazy as Caddyshack, he's in that one too, lol, any way Danny wrote the music for the first Batman movie with Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, the original movie score!, you know, like John Williams did for Star Wars, I was blown away when I saw his name in the end credits, (pays to read those at the end of the movie), I recognized his name, he did, with OB music for Weird Science, that other crazy movie with Anthony Michael Hall, he's brilliant., and I think he has a degree in music, someone told me Lil Wayne has a music degree, would love to see him do what Danny and Stewart did, Write movie scores, symphonies, would b brilliant to see what he'd come up with. Godspeed, Peace ✌

You’ll get lots of recommendations of their various hits - all certainly worthy Make sure though to also check out Murder By Numbers - very jazzy , no overdubs ( a brilliant live studio performance ) , very very cool track - you’ll want the lyrics handy too It’s dark but funny , like the title suggests

They had only been a band for a short while before they toured the world, and they played everywhere other rock bands had never gone. India, the Caribbean, Egypt, and they just played for the people

Hello Mojo and Howdy Mama Moon! Bad pun alert: I always thought if anyone did a new Winnie the Pooh film or TV show, they could use this song, especially for the ending verses: "Eeyore! Eeyore"! Lame joke aside, great fusion of rock/new wave/reggae/calypso in this song.

Please react to "Message In A Bottle". It is from the same album as "Walking On The Moon" and their first #1 hit song, "Walking..." being the next in The UK. The album itself, "Reggatta De Blanc" was also number one in The UK.

While there was some degree of internal tension and conflict, it didn't seem to end on a note of animosity between the members. I think it had a lot to do with Sting starting his solo career, and them not having a good plan for how to balance that with keeping the band going.
