The Police - STING - you are legendary even after so many years

I remember when both Ghosts in the Machine and Synchronicity records were just released. I anxiously bought each record, rushed home from the store and dropped the needle on these perfect records.. Standard operating procedure was to lay on my back in the middle of the floor in my bedroom, stare at the ceiling and float away.... Though "message in a bottle" was released much earlier, the transcendent effect was the same... The Police were a once in a generation band.

I’m only 22 years old and the police and their songs mean a whole lot to me . Growing up these were the jams in the house along with so many other bands

Used to love this song when I was a kid. Listened to it again after a while and I almost teared up. This song makes me so happy. Reminds me of when I was a kid.

I cast a message in a bottle out to sea from somewhere in England a few years ago. This Police song was the source of my idea. Never did get a reply back from man. But God answered a year or so later when I'd forgotten about it and had accepted defeat and He told me that He was my help. I was amazed. Thanks for the music Sting.

I inspired sting with that song in 1970 when i throw my dads wine bottle in the morning tide during the u s postal strike. It got there quicker then the post office when someone picked up the bottle down in south carolina. It was in the world news and the asbury park press i was 11 at the time.
