The most important thing is to play this game only if you're enjoying it. As soon as I realize that I'm tilted or upset about something, I just don't start the new match.

One of the best tips I heard from a pro player is that in solo queue, you will succeed the most if you adapt to your team. If you go to Regi___ and no one from your team shows up, do what you can but leave if you are definitely going to die. If they continue not to show to objectives, don’t just go there and die. Try to get them to join the fight and if they don’t, then adjust and do something else. Farm, score, steal enemy jungle, adapt. Make smart decisions based off the scenario. This helps me to not get as frustrated when my teammates don’t do what *I* think is best, because I probably don’t alway know what’s best. It has also helped me become a much better player.

Yes, I remember when I got to 1600 as Gardevoir in lane and I was against the jungle Gardevoir and I've beaten her a few times, and the point that I realized that she lost it was she sat in a bush, stunned me and solo ulted, but I kept a leveled head and said "At least she only used on me, and not 3 of my teammates in the Ray pit." After that, my team secured Rayquaza, and when I tried to score, the other Gardevoir tried to solo ult me again and failed. Then I was heading back to base, she was still chasing me, and luckily my Wigglytuff pushed her away. You can say that I diffed her mentally.

I had a player curse out everyone else saying “Alola_Eva had 30 kills how do u guys ruin this match for us?!” He went off 😭 this happened recently 2 weeks ago but I felt that frustration cuz me and him were the only ones rly putting in the effort to the end

I really do think that tilting isn't really the problem here but of course it probably is a main factor among many others, but I really do wish that someone would make a more recent guide on how to play this game, as many people have most likely never played this genre/style of game before as it is confusing and might be one of the reasons why people are tilting and angry. I mean, when I first saw this game I thought that it looked cool and new, as a new style of game that I had never played before and wanted to try, but even now I'm still finding it a bit weird sometimes and finding myself not knowing what to do with certain things or when in the middle of gameplay and I can say hopefully and confidently that I'm probably not the only one out there that doesn't know what to do in this style/genre of gameplay. Outside of this game I've never even heard of 'laning' really all that much especially considering I'm a more casual player of games.

But I definitely tilt and go into games pre mad. Thanks spragels, it’s important to refresh and reset every match, keep balance. Even when you have a 6 loss streak and have spent most free time the last 4 days bouncing between the same 50 points in master just trying to reach that next peak and always getting short and then dropping. Current problems, but there’s still time in this season

Very true Jake, playing tilted out of my mind its very bad for me and my teammates and Im trying to imrpove that. Its crazy because when you are playing level headed even when you lose and realize you did your best but got unlucky you start positively the next match and the odds are in your favor specially if the other team has someone on tilt. Love Phil Hellmuth too and one of my favorite shows was The big game and poker after dark, never have I gambled but the game its very fun.

theres so many ways to adapt and come back after unfortunate situations in your game that surrendering should happen at the last 10 seconds or not at all! seeing that players record where its not even losses there but surrenders... it makes you think how many of those could have been possible wins if their team kept trying and not quitting. :(

I remember playing a game with my regular duo several seasons ago where we had a game in which we steamrolled an opposing duo in bottom one of which players played Blastoise. They ended up just suicide diving into the enemy team and was a non-afk Squirtle by the end of the game. He had apparently not forgotten the humiliation because a month or two later we found the same dude again and what would you know, they were in the same lane hardtargetting our asses. It did work for a bit, but we ended up taking advantage of it during the final two minutes.

It's amazing how much people grief over tiny things when there's a thing at the 2 minute mark that basically decides the game. Even if we're getting crushed, I just try to sneak some goals in, level myself up, and prep for Ray. A Ray snipe will win the games 9 times out of 10. Sometimes people are so butthurt that I've had games where we're down by like 100 and I get Ray but someone is in base voting give up, not realizing that them just actively touching the controller long enough to dunk a free 100 would have been the difference.

I actually had this issue when I first started playing Unite (or with any game new to me). I was trying so hard to make a situation work by repeating the same mistake by trying to go back the same lane and knock an opponent out who knocked me out, and I kept trying to focus more on leveling up by the side Pokemon instead of helping the team. These were the 2 main problems, but I did get a lot better over time with practice. I do still panic sometimes though when I get attacked by multiple opponents and when my teammates do nothing, and end up using my unite too soon. But I do see other team members doing the same thing I did when I started, even all the way to ultra rank still, and I can't tell them. I also notice what the opponents are trying to do sometimes so I try to notify my team when I can, but it doesn't really help when solo'ing. Also I noticed a lot of the teams I've been joining lately keep surrendering too soon. So I encounter all of what you say too. It feels like they are not even trying anymore. I played over 1k games and I still try my best.

And i was confused because it looked so bad some games! then you would always prove you can still win this game up to the last second. As a defender (mostly) main, i walk into games expecting to lose honestly. Even as Mamo or Bro, there is only so much I can do, hope they focus me over the others, be annoying as possible. But I always play like its a tournament run. I try to remind to farm, go in on an easy opening, and even die but pushing/pulling the enemy off objective. The euphoria of walking in with no expectations and coming out with some wild win or even a normal one is just the best

There have been games where I'm on a bad losing streak and enter my matches with a negative mindset, however no matter how tilted I am I will still always try my best to win and there have been times that because of that determination to keep going, we end up winning despite the odds being against so. So watching this video really helped me to realize how big of a problem going into a match upset is. This is my first time commenting also, love all your vids!❤❤

I think something that adds to the tilt is the ineffective communication, preventing people especially in solo queues from properly coordinate or even get that person back from the tilt zone. I had a stretch of games where I connected my wireless headset and hopped in voice chat and even when I was the only person speaking there games were immensely better landing me my longest win streak. I’m sure this isn’t the end all to people getting tilted but the communication definitely is a huge factor

a match can be defined surely lost only when your team miss Rayquaza and you were olready down in scores. As you sayd in this video the game gives you many different ways to catch up the opponents (pokemon spown on the side of the lanes, nearest Altaria group, extra xp for ko enemies). I reconize the tilted player when i see the "surrender" quest at 5 min, just becose their lane is under, even if the other lane is winning.

Meanwhile my team is always scattered doing other things or auto piloting on one lane. I pop off and do crazy stuff on so many matches but keep losing a lot with me and my friend being the only players doing more than 20-30,000 damage on the team. It’s insane.

i had an ally slowbro get unbelievably tilted earlier today. we were both stacking and i took some farm on accident that they were trying to stack with. you best believe they went bottom lane (we were top lane) and pinged thanks the entire game-and i mean the ENTIRE game. i held the top lane all by myself as a tsareena, showed up to each objective, and pretty much swept the ray fight by myself. 10+ kills with over 100k damage. they didn't deserve that win at all. if they took anything out of that match, i hope it's that it's not the end of the world when something doesn't go as planned. just play your best, eat farm, and show up to objectives. it's really as easy as that. it was incredibly hard to not let their tilt become my tilt though LMAO

What mostly tilts me off in the match is when my teammate/s started to afk for some reason. If at the end of the match I get a mail from the server itself. I let my anger go away snap snap and play again and I need to do better. But, if after the match I didn't receive any mails, it just means for me that this match I have been also matched with teammates with tendencies to afk all the time. This part makes me lose it. Because all the time, losing and winning for me is the same and okay since I enjoy playing. But what is not okay is when it's only caused by afk teammates since the start of the match or they have lost one zone.

I felt this. Recently, I was a sableye, in last 20 seconds my team surrendered, now here's the catch, when the battle data screen pop up, we were at 493 score, and they were 321 something. We were 170+ points in lead, I myself scored around 333+. My team surrendered because opponents were pushing, and they had only central goal zone to score. Our Trevanant was alive fighting, 1-2 would have been spawned in 4-5 seconds. Only around 20 seconds were remaining in the game. 4 out of 5 surrendered, except me all of them did it. It was just a matter of 20 seconds we freaking won that game and these 4 guys just threw it away an already won match.

I am a strong believer of using quick chat to help warn you team to be cautious "watch out" and signaling a retreat when needed is important, I'm a defender main, I usually will be the ones to back up and provide an escape route or distraction or stalling the opponents. To me, attackers are valuable & have to avoid dying, the offense would lose a significant amount of time & exp when they could be farming & regrouping to form the next push. My method playstyle is keeping track of my lane partner early on, I'll just feed farm for them (especially they get a power spike at lvl4 or are All-Rounders) and cause as much distraction or chip damage or pull the opponent for a kill. Ofc not everyone shares this mentality, but it doesn't hurt to experiment and change up your playstyle now and then based on what mon you choose, items picked, emblems equipped and lane partner you have.

It was horrendous today for me too. I rode bottom lane zoro last night from ultra 3-ultra 2 in a 5-stack. We all felt the chemistry and were able to clear our own lvl caps and dominate team fights with ease. This morning I won four solo q matches in a row jungling w urshifu. I followed my intuition on where to appear and when, and somehow got to experience fun& cooperative teamwork 4 games in a row. 1 win shy of Masters I get invited to a 3-stack with 2 members of my Unite Squad by the dude I've teamed with the most, who's claimed my carries carried him to Masters and it was time to return the favor. He plays Scizor, she plays Comfey and every 15 seconds they're spamming for help and running head first into enemies frantically before I can make it to lane, letting me go down 1v3 when they could've saved us w a single jab. Sh*t was beyond frustrating.

What makes it worse is when you play exceptionally well under the circumstances and win the 4v5 and give that player a win 😭 Then see their name in the next lobby as well knowing fine well exactly how the next game is about to go. For me the biggest frustration game to game that can put me on tilt(not to the extent of throwing), is 80% of my soloQ games are against minimum 2-3 stacks with something like Ttar wearing the Fairy belt with a pocket clefable and makes it almost impossible to kill.

He ended up bashing me on a mic that i need to pull my weight and stop holding back the team despite his choices actually being the reason we were losing he gave up but decided to stop being an a$$ once we stole Rayquaza. After that i fought against him 3 times and absolutely destroyed him showing that i most definitely was the better team player. He then shockingly made a video about me and his team claiming we were toxic and ruining the experience for others he ultimately took down the video when people pointing out he was the problem not us but he didn't see it that way.

I personally have learned to deal with inexperienced/new players playing poorly: if they're getting KO'd more than KO-ing the enemy team, even with my support, then I just end up letting them be. I focus on trying to score as much goals as possible and sneak around the enemy. If I find opportunities for a 1-v-1 or solo fights that I can win by myself, I take them on. Otherwise, just run away and score. At the end of the match, if I end up being the top #1 or #2 player despite my team losing then that's good enough for me.
