The Plague that made People Dance until they Dropped Dead

Go to establishedtitles.com/SimpleH... and use the Discount Code: SIMPLE10 to get 10% off to become a Lord or Lady!
An unexplained phenomenon
Outbreaks of this so-called dancing mania involved groups of people dancing erratically and uncontrollably, sometimes in their hundreds or even thousands.
Like a disease, the mania would spread from town to town and even country to country as if it were contagious.
Historical records are sometimes very detailed about these outbreaks which affected men, women, and children dancing often until they collapsed from exhaustion or injuries.

Only Speculation, i could imagine that also ergot might have played a role in that. Denis Dodart, the personal physician of King Louis IV claimed in 1653 that ergot is resonsible for mass poisoning and wide spread hallucination as well as strange behaviour within whole communities and towns. Ergot in general was one of the great curses of people in the middle ages.

Go to a rave where people are on lsd, ecstasy, other stimulants. People will literally dance till their dead if they over do it like these peeps. There is a fungus that grows on wheat sometimes that is toxic. Will give you lsd effects. These people didn't know what they were eating with their wheat. They didn't know about hallucinogens. It's thought that's what started the witches of Salem trial thinking people were possessed, but they might have just been unknowingly tripping.

Interestingly, all the places affected by the dancing plagues of the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period, follow the path of the River Rhine, making the theory that this was a plague of ideas and not disease, much more plausible. Admittedly, a disease could easily spread by this route but the fallout of the socio-economic and cultural factors you mentioned would be much more 'contagious' to the people at the time and cause them to act out in that way.

The suicide dance. I think they’re minds broke due to constant high pressure and stress. Hunger and thirst are important factors too. The lack security is also important factor. Dancing produces a feel good chemical or dopamine. Same achieved by movement like running or playing sports. Let’s see through which places it was occurring and when it was occurring. It seemed to occur on Europe where in peasants were just slaves with a bit more rights.

We actually have a tale like this on in my town of Bollnäs in Sweden. It is said that the youth of the town went to do dancing instead of going to church. Then the devil came and started to play his violin and lead them up to the mountain of Hårga. There they danced around a large pine and to this day there is a circle in the stone just around the pine. The song "Hårga låten" describes this event.

The sponsor surely has to be a scam because even if you do buy some land in Scotland you'll only be called a land owner as a lord is restricted to royal family members or nobles put in place by a royal family member, a custom ticket won't count as it has to be done from a royal family and if anything it feels insulting the way they portray it

Partly correct. *Highland* Titles (not the sponsor) sell physical plots of land which are part of a nature reserve. A “custom ticket” may not count, but ownership of land, by Scottish law, provides the owner a legal right to change their title to Laird/Lord, as that is the word for “landowner”. From their website: “Laird titles were traditional courtesy titles afforded to Scottish landowners and people who worked on the estate. Indeed, the word Laird means ‘landowner’. By that definition, you might be wondering if owning land in Scotland makes you a Lord, Laird or Lady? Owning land means that you can style yourself as a Laird or Lady, however, this is of course not the same as a barony title and does not make you a peer of the realm.” HOWEVER, “Established Titles” and other similar companies do NOT sell physical plots, do not have physical addresses, and do not list their stakeholders, which seems like a scam, as you pointed out. A plot was bought for me for my 18th birthday from Highland Titles due to my Scottish ancestry. I have not assumed the title (I prefer the “Dr.” that I earned myself), but it is a fun “joke” (for lack of a better word) and it’s supporting preservation as well! I can even visit my 1sq.ft. of land in the future =)
