Excursion to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
On this trip, we visited the control room-4 (block control panel of the 4th power unit). This is the infamous place where the largest man-made disaster occurred on April 26, 1986;
We also visited the operating bunker under the Chernobyl nuclear power plant; visited
crisis center, which was the headquarters of the liquidators after the Chernobyl disaster. The same bunker was shown in the first episode of the HBO series "Chernobyl" as a meeting place for representatives of the Soviet authorities in the first hours after the accident;
MCR-2 and MCR-3 (block control panels of the second and third units), visited TsCRU-1 (central control room, control room of the outdoor switchgear of the outdoor switchgear and workplace of the station shift supervisor), walked along the "Golden Corridor", the length of which is 800 meters and got into the central hall of the third block, where the upper plate of the biological protection of the RBMK reactor is located.
We were able to see the main circulation pumps of the third block, which provide water supply to the reactor core;

@@SvetlanaAdventures The Reactor 4 Control Room looks scary, I can't believe people still work at that Power Plant. Does it still produce electricity 🔌 using the other reactors?

Yes, indeed, people are still working at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It no longer produces electricity, the last reactor No. 3 was shut down on December 15, 2000. Now the nuclear power plant is being decommissioned, for this purpose all the remaining people work there. The Chernobyl nuclear power plant is now a transit point for the supply of electricity to other cities, for which its open distribution devices are used.

@@SvetlanaAdventures The decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plants takes very long and is extremely expensive. San Diego California has been decommissioning a Nuclear PowerPlant for many years now and they are nowhere near complete.

Danke für das interessante Video über das Kernkraftwerk. Mich wundert, dass es dort noch so strenge Sicherheitsvorschriften gibt, obwohl das Kraftwerk außer Betrieb ist. Solche Industrieruinen kenne ich auch noch aus DDR-Zeiten, allerdings waren das alte Kohlekraftwerke. Das fand ich damals auch sehr interessant sich in diesen Ruinen umzusehen.

In der Tat sind die Regeln streng, da es im Kernkraftwerk immer noch viele radioaktive Abfälle gibt. Mehrstufige Strahlensicherheit wird verwendet, um ihre Migration über die Lokalisierung hinaus zu vermeiden.

Wegen dem Atommüll, der dort lagert, wurde es von den russsischen Truppen so schnell eingenommen, damit kein Unfug damit getrieben werden kann.
