@@egidefiska I had the same experience, my wife got me the 15 Pro and less than a week I was back to my P8P thankfully I didn't get rid of it. I just can't live without all the Google Assistant Call features (call screening) and iOS just sucks as a user experience. It's just not intuitive to me. The hardware may be good, although the phones always seem top heavy and unbalanced, but the usability is so archaic.

Got my Pixel 8 Pro earlier this week.. just the 128gb model because it came as a bundle with the pixel watch 2... so far im loving the software and speed of the device. had an iphone 13 and apple watch before.

I like my iPhone and have no intention of switching. But, there’s one feature Pixels have had for a few years now that I’m still jealous of: all the call screening stuff. iOS has gotten better at dictating voicemail on the fly, but the Pixel definitely takes these features to the next level.

I would definitely buy a pixel if only Google had technicians here in Colombia with replacements ready to fix if anything were to happen to my phone. If anything, anyone would love to take advantage of those 7 years of updates! 😢

Awesome vid as always, Fenson. Keep it up! If the Google Pixel phones are available and offered here in the Philippines, it would be a no brainer to get as it is the smartest phone in the market today and the cool features it has are useful in everyday life. Just sad that it is not offered here and if you will buy one, it will be at your own risk.

As an iPhone user I have to say 7 years of updates is crazy and I'm happy for Pixel users! The Android world needs more like that. 7 years is one year more than Apple offers which is great! I want there to be competition. I had the Picel 4a and to this day I feel like this was one of the best phones I used! If only the hardware would still hold up, which it doesn't but it's okay. 5.8 inch was what I feel like the sweet spot. Not too big and not too small. Have the iPhone 15 but the Pixel 8 (especially the Rose colour) really makes me wanna get a Pixel again.

⁠@@akarshh3136depends on if you want the features of iPhone or not. The only real advantage that the iPhone has over the Pixel 8 is the ability to browse to server shares on the local network. Pixel can’t do this without a third party app. If you start looking into the ecosystem of each, then really the question is, “Is the Apple Watch better than everything that Android offers?” To me that answer would be yes. But! Eventually I realized that I don’t want a smart watch I want a fitness tracker that can also show me the time and the weather at a glance. So sometime next year I will switch to either pixel or galaxy s series and a garmin. Really just depends on what you want. Currently rocking and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Great video. I'm on my third Pixel 8 already. It's frustrating to see Google's QA still hasn't improved much, but I really enjoy Pixels. The new size is great, but if they could bring back a physical fingerprint sensor and the panda colourways, I think it'd be perfect.

@@francis_n Sorry, didn’t get the notifications. As @alifrahman7099 said, it was defective devices. First one had bumps under the screen (I think they all do now), second would crash constantly. The third one that arrived had a squeaky screen so that’s gone back too. I’m using an iPhone now after giving up.

The phone will change my life? Will it make me less using phones, social media and push me to the gym? If yes, I'm buying it

I wish you would've talked about the phone's performance. I'm heavily debating the Pixel 8 as I'm worried the Tensor G3 won't be enough for my liking

I talked about it in my full review of the phone but in short, I haven’t found any scenarios where it wasn’t enough for me to use! It depends on what you use the phone for though but it should be enough for most people!

Benchmarks aren't a true measurement of this phones capabilities. AI enhances this phone ten fold with continuous updates to it's AI systems app. This months updates allows the pixel 8 phone line to run games like genshin as efficiently and as well as other phones with a snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset.

Pixel 8 if you care anything about cameras S23 cameras SUCK!!!!!

I like the phone a lot, but I am apprehensive about the Tensor chip. There are numerous complaints about the chip and modem having poor battery and thermal performance. The S24, with the Snapdragon (in the US, at least), seems to maybe be a better option. I also play a little bit of Pokemon Go when I am out with friends, and this phone doesn't seem like the best fit there either. If the Pixel 8 had a Snapdragon processor (and maybe some samsung features like Dex, by-pass charging, Good Lock modules), it would be perfect for me. Just a bit of a bummer that the chip seems to hold it back from being reliable for many people, since I love the software and hardware aesthetic on this phone.

I had the Pixel 8 for 4 months and absolutely loved it. But like you mentioned, modem problems - I was one of the unfortunate users who started getting dropped calls, where I couldn't place or receive a single call. Tried everything to no avail. I understand that I just got unlucky with a faulty unit, and if I lived in the US or someplace where replacement or repair was more accessible, I'd consider just getting it replaced, but I really didn't want to risk connectivity issues again. Sadly, in the end I returned it, got a refund, and just bought the Galaxy S23, a Samsung for the first time in my life. We'll see how it goes.

Hi, does this phone make sensé for the EU market ? I’ve Heard there are some feature tha alt are only available or can only be enabled in the US.

I think it would still make sense to get one in the EU! I’m in Canada where I don’t get any of the US only features as well and still have a fantastic experience! It’s only a couple of very niche features too so you should be fine! Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas! 😁

Zillion reviews of the pixel eight Pro hardly anybody does a review of the regular so be great to see and review it but if you just put in pixel eight pro review, you’ll get so many you won’t even have time to watch him

My pixel 8 is driving me nuts. I have a sound picked to play for a contact when they message me. You can see and hear the sound in the contact play manually but it still plays the general sound when they text.

Wish it had fullscreen call display and more clock options and ability to change themes and custom fonts. Other Android phones like Samsung has these features for several years now. Thats why im not gonna buy a pixel. Customisation is limited like iphones. Was considering the Pixel but Samsung minus the bloatware is 👌👌

Hey mine arrived on 23rd as well and have been playing with it ever since. How are you finding it? At first I had buyers remorse as didn't like the screen, the fixed search bar and ar a glance widgets etc. But after 2 days I've completely warmed to it. Loving all the small software features that take me by surprise as I use the phone

The pull-down quick settings pills are way too large. Samsung has small ones so you can fita lot more for easy access.

pixel 8 or iphone 13 or s23?

When will Google support other countries like KSA or Philippines so that we can make use of the 5G coverage?

I turn off 5g on all my phones. On lte+ in Canada i still get around 400 mbps . So why bother?

The other one was a more in depth review while this one was focused on software features! They were meant to be posted weeks apart though 😂😂😂

The AI wallpapers is in fact just a wallpaper app,the wallpapers repeat themselves, nice trick google.

It's got lower technical specs than the S23 and a $100 higher price tag in my country. Not an easy pick.

It's because they using the phone as if it was a games console, professional DSLR camera, video recorder and constantly streaming content with 5G and expect it to last 2 days. Honestly I have watched so many reviews of this phone and read comments. The people using their phone without maxing out eveything are getting ridiculous battery life, those using it like above are barely making it a day

man I really want to buy pixel but here in India users complained about network reception issues. well that's the basic feature of smartphone and what is the use of those AI features if you can't have good communication means. idk if its possible to solve this issue over software update as i heard modem itself is weak.

S23 because have a very good procesor Snapdragon. Pixel use Tensor (Exynos) and this is a not good for battery life.

lol, OnePlus 12 is far better deal than this mediocre pixel 8.

That's why I swapped it out for the Samsung S23. The pixel 8 has a bigger battery but run out faster than S23. The pixels cellular modem was shit. Funny thing is all made by Samsung. Id rather go straight to the source. Samsung
