as a life-long Steelers fan, I'm prepared for us to fail but hoping for the best. Last season I think we all made the mistake of taking OTA's, Practice and Pre-season as an indicator that we were going to pop off. But it's hard not to be excited with the young team we have now, September can't come soon enough!

I totally agree you what you said 110% But I feel like with if we win 10 games with 3 quarterback I’m pretty sure with this defense healthy and the addition pieces on offense Russell or Justin can be that difference that help secure a dub. With the addition of Arthur Smith to improve the offense and make our run game even more killer, in which helps open the pass gain easier for the QBs Every game (we lost/ close game we lost)was because of quarterback play or the offensive play calling.

I'm just glad Omar Khan upgraded the bad, or mid parts of our team as soon as the season ended. He got rid of Mason Cole, Chukwuma Okorafor, Mitch Trubisky, Pressly Harvin, Kenny Pickett, Diontae Johnson and Patrick Peterson as soon as he got the chance😭 those are literally all the players we have been complaining about for 2 years; on top of that he got the only big name free agent I really wanted in Queen to bolster our thin LB room, and then replaced literally every one of those positions with younger, and/or more talented players

Good vid and absolutely agree on your analysis of things. Just throwing this out to you as a tip. If you start heating the same word more than twice, attempt to find a synonym. Especially when you talk about "pairing" a person (singular) with a team (multiple) and a pair is technically two. Saying "Cory Trice would be paired with JPJ", that works. To even say "pair this offense with the defense" but consider expanding to words such as "match, team, attach, couple (meaning to attach), bond, bond, etc. Just Google synonym "pair". I have done a lot of video edits over the years, this is one of the things to listen out for. Please take this entirely as constructive criticism from a fellow fan that just wants to give you some advice. This is not with any malicious intent. I know comments can be a mix of things and sometimes hard to interpret how people "meant" something. One of those "dumb things I'm never gonna use". From 5th grade language arts with Mrs. Hoffman. We all had to have this box set, Dictionary, Thesaurus, and Dictionary of synonyms and antonyms. Because of using it so often growing up and writing, I now regularly will use it online. Again, not at all trying to be insulting. Have a good one and enjoy your videos.

Based on last season's performances, it will be Russell's job. I am very glad we have both quarterbacks, but I am not sure why Justin chose to come to Pittsburgh AFTER they signed Russell IF he was looking to be a starter. It's the old adage, TWO DOGS ONE BONE and I think Russell has the bone and he will keep it. Keep in mind that Big Ben played 18-years and this would be Russell's 13th year. I think Russell's conditioning regiment is better than Ben's was, so I don't see why Russ couldn't play another 6-7 seasons. Which still leaves me baffled as to why Justin chose Pittsburgh after the Russ trade. That being said, Russell has never gone to an organization where he wasn't the starter, so there should NOT be any hard feeling from Fields when the Steelers begin and end the season with Russell as the starter. I truly hope that Arthur Smith incorporate ways to get Justin involved in the game plan. It would be a waste of talent for JF to sit and watch all season. No one is talking about QB3, but the Steelers have some nice insurance with Kyle Allen.

Justin Fields is a COMPETITOR and that is why he came to Pittsburgh. Most likely Justin is looking for a STABLE ORGANIZATION with excellent Coaching. After the Horror he suffered in Chicago, I can't say I blame him. As for Russell Wilson, he may have the Bone Now but at 36 Years old, he won't keep it. Justin Fields is an "Electrifying-Runner" and he has a "Cannon-For-An-Arm." Justin can make every THROW ON THE FIELD, ANGLES, CAN PLACE THE BALL IN TIGHT WINDOWS AND DOWN-THE-FIELD. I am a Chicago Bears Fan and many of us up here in Chicago have nothing but LOVE for Justin.

  • @mindbusiness9734

@@barbaradee9304 Don't get me wrong. I love the fact that Justin is now on the Steelers roster. In fact, I've liked him since college, but he's following the same blueprint as Mitch Trubisky by going to a team who already basically has their starter. It's a little different because Justin has been a player on the rise versus a declining Mitch who left. I don't like Justin being behind Russ because we don't know how many more years Russell can go because his 26 passing TDs with 3 rushing TDs last season is very attractive compared to Justin's & others points production last season. Everyone talks mobility, but that doesn't always equate to points production. When you consider how many mouths there were to feed in Pittsburgh last year, the last thing you need is a running QB. This is why Mason Rudolph was the perfect QB for the Steelers - Mason didn't run because he wanted to - he ran because it made sense at the time. Take away the athleticism and consider what JF has done from behind the LOS because we have enough guys to conduct business beyond that point.

@@mindbusiness9734 You have an OLD WORLD MENTALITY about Running Quarterbacks, although Justin Fields is an Elite-Dual-Threat Quarterback, which means he has "Elite Running Athleticism" and has a "Cannon Arm" that he uses to make ACCURATE THROWS in "Tight-Windows" and Down-the-Field into the END ZONE. Justin can make EVERY THROW on the Field, including SLANTS. Justin Fields, Mitch T., Mason Rudolph are different Quarterbacks. All three of these Quarterbacks are building their NFL Resume.' In a few years, their Career Story will be written in the NFL History Book and it won't matter what anyone thinks. It's just that simple!

@@barbaradee9304 I agree that my mentality my be vintage, but my views still holds true today. The teams that are in the Super Bowl year-after-year are the ones whose QB has a pass-first mentality yet may have that occasional run, but they mostly destroy you from the pocket. I hope Justin is patient and soaks up all the information he can from Russell so that when the time comes he can be "the guy." I like Justin. I just wished he hadn't settled. I know the Steelers and there is NO SUCH THING as a FAIR QB competition. They do NOT want to bring unwanted attention which is why Russell has the keys. If the Steelers operated fairly, Mason would have started two-years ago ahead of Mitch and they would not have said Russ has the keys. They would've let things play itself out.

People don’t seem to understand the whole Justin Fields thing. He didn’t choose to compete with Russ, and he wouldn’t have. He’s posturing now because abuse he doesn’t have a choice. Here’s the story: Fields may be competing with Russ, but Russ is competing with himself. Fields’s mindset is exciting but it won’t make him a starter. When he requested the trade to Pittsburgh, he thought his competition would be Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph. He’s nowhere near Russ’s level as a passer, nor does he play as well in the clutch. Knowing this, the Bears only became interested in sending Fields to Pittsburgh AFTER Russ signed there because they knew he would wind up on the bench, which is where they want him as Caleb goes through his growing pains. The idea of Fields starting over Russ or displacing Russ after Russ wins the starting gig is ridiculous. Look at the numbers. *Justin Fields’s 3-Year Career Stats (advantaged metrics in boldface* Pass attempts: 958 Pass completions: 578 Completion%: 60.3% TD-INT: 40-30 Passing yards: 6,674 Passer rating: 82.3 *Rushing yards: 2,220* (vs. 1,327) *Rushing yards/yr: 740* (vs. 442) *Rushing TDs: 14* (vs. 7) *Rushing attempts: 356* (vs. 245.5) *Rushing y/a: 6.2* (vs. 5.4) Sacks: 135 Sacks/yr: 45 Yards lost: 908 Yards lost per sack: 6.7 Fumbles: 38 (11 Lost) On pace for 152 fumbles over 12 seasons with 44 lost. Career 4th quarter passer rating: 53 _______________________________________________ *Russ’s average over a 3-year period (based on his career statistics. Advantaged metrics in boldface)* *Pass attempts: 1,416* (vs. 958) *Pass completions: 917* (vs. 578) *Completion%: 64.7%* (vs. 60.3%) *TD-INT: 84-26* (vs. 40-30) *Passing yards: 10,913* (vs. 6,674) *Passer rating: 100.0* (vs. 82.3) Rushing yards: 1,327 Rushing yards/yr: 442 Rushing TDs: 7 Rushing attempts: 245.25 Rushing Y/A: 5.4 *Sacks: 132* (vs. 135) *Sacks/yr: 44. Russ is superior in every other department. That small rushing advantage isn’t nearly enough to compensate for Russ’s superiority as a passer, especially if we discuss 4th quarter metrics. If we were to discount Russ’s Denver years, Russ’s 3-year average stats would be better than Fields’s by an even larger margin, even if we include two injury years in Seattle (2016 and 2021) that produced outlier statistics. While both take a lot of sacks, Russ has taken them due to bad/inconsistent O-Lines and pure stubbornness on his part. Fields takes them more because he isn’t a great reader of defenses. His O-Lines have been better than Russ’s. _______________________________________________ *Russ’s Career Statistics* Pass attempts: 5,665 Pass completions: 3,668 Completion%: 64.7% TD-INT: 334-106 Passing yards: 43,653 Passer rating: 100.0 Rushing yards: 5,307 Rushing yards/yr: 442 Rushing TDs: 29 Rushing attempts: 981 Rushing y/a: 5.4 Sacks: 527 Sacks/yr: 43.9 Yards lost: 3,464 Yards lost per sack: 6.57 Fumbles: 103 (32 Lost) Career 4th quarter passer rating: 104 *Keep in mind that Russ’s career statistics include two subpar years in Denver.* Both years skew Russ’s stats negatively, especially 2022, when he threw just 16 TD passes and missed two games.
