The wraiths could still be the ones causing the time-distortion. I'm kinda hoping they are, but I guess only time will tell.

or messing with their radar scanning to hide how their planet really looks?

I actually never expected time traveling in pikmin,but it's not impossible though so I guess I always knew there would be a possibility for it someday in pikmin

i honestly just believe pikmin 4 is an alternate timeline. the events of pikmin 1 play exactly the same when it comes to olimar crash-landing in PNF-404, with the obvious differences being the locations, moss, olimar sending an SOS signal, and not being able to return to his home even after collecting all the ship pieces. also, isn't it weird that the only koppaites in the game you see: york, bergman, and nelle look similar to the ones in pikmin 3, but aren't the same? hell, yorke is even the grandson of doctor drake, which alph also is in pikmin 3. although you could just say this is just another one of his grandsons, it's really weird to see a trio of characters so similar to the pikmin 3 crew, with minimal but noticeable differences. this could mean that we are seeing an alternate version of alph, charlie and brittany in this timeline. but hey, that's just a theory.

Also, at the end of Pikmin 3 I think we see olimar and his ship crashing onto the planet for the "first" time so it could be that olimar from Hickman 4 would be from an alternate timeline

@@carterchildress yes, thats true!! i forgot about pik 3's ending. this could indicate not only that PNF-404 is able to tamper with time, but with timeLINES as well.

It's always been my personal headcanon that the landing circles were made by the Mamuta and are the gardening spots they use to create Onions and therefore Pikmin too. All the different variants are simply distinct gardening techniques they implore. A little less grandiose than planetary time distortion but hey, there's nothing disproving that idea as far as I'm aware.

Thats an interesting idea, even with time travel/distortion it could still be mamuta's making them. I like that idea a lot.

4:45 you can explain pikmin 4 as a reboot or a prequel but i prefer a much simpler explanation there are things in the game that make it seem like it could take place before pikmin 3 or in an alternate timeline but as far as ive seen there is no proof that it doesnt take place after them i believe the 4 games take place in the order they were released and its true that some events are similar to past events but that doesnt mean they are the same event from what i understand its possible that it would be difficult to grow PNF-404's fruit on koppai which could make it expensive, explaining why the koppaites are on pnf-404 in pikmin 4 collecting treasure to get money to pay for food for the booming population on koppai i could be missing something but pnf-404 does have a lot more oxygen than koppai so the fruits would grow much smaller on koppai

My theory is the sparklium is in gas form in the caves, and because of that every creature is more energetic.
