The physics of Zion Williamson | Just Curious

Спорт

Zion Williamson’s unique blend of size and athleticism made him the most exciting prospect in years, but injuries have plagued him since high school. We dive deep into the physics of Zion’s leaping ability and the technique he must master in order to avoid chronic injuries in the future.

    He reminds me of D. Rose with the athleticism. D Rose used to land to the ground after dunking like that when he entered the league. I missed the 2011 D Rose. Don’t want the same thing to happen to Zion.

Zion Williamson is physical marvel and I wish him the best but he is 6’6 at 300. A good size if he is OL or DL but look at the way he lands awkwardly, and tell me you don’t hold breath every time when you see that. The Pelicans need him and I’m saying that if he should be careful and I want to watch him play with enthusiasm and bowling over people in the paint for over decade not only a few years.

    4:27 Sorry but as someone who can actually dunk, the reason why Zion is off-balance is, because he tried to hold on to the rim, but could not quiet do it. So his lower body continued to move forward while his upper body stayed straight, that is the reason for the off-balance.

  • @emilioabringe6590
    @emilioabringe65903 жыл бұрын

    zion developed the mechanics of leaping and landing since he was young, if he continue to perform the same then he would develop all physiological/psychological/kinesthetical needs in order to sustain that ability. However, as age goes maybe by 29 years of age or up, he would start to show breakage of the body as we cant stop human degeneration stage. degeneration stage comes person to person, some people got good genes, some have not. So you get back to Zion's parents and grandparents in order to identify his genetis or to wisely guess his degeneration age. If Zion continue to listen to this negative comments, there would be a chance that his confident level will go low than pre-NBA time. If his confident level would go down, the chances of injury or re-injury is high. So let him play and enjoy and love the game; he is young let his body develop all the necessary body components to sustain his extraordinary ability; humans are great with ADAPTABILITY!

Zion is proportioned well, he has thick legs and arms and a normal sized belly for his height. He is a physical specimen, true, weight is an issue for everyone in sports, but they are trying to tell him he is going to get hurt purely because he is big. That's junk science.

    it's clearly his best asset, no rookie has ever come in and physically dominated the way he has so far, and he did that mid-season, which is even harder because everyone is in shape and he wasn't. at the same time, he comes down weird at times and if he can't fix that issue then the size will be a major reason why he blows out his knee. at his current size and with the weird landing he will definitely blow a knee out, it's just a matter of whether or not he can lose enough weight or fix his landing issues before that happens. so yea, the answer is both, his weight helps make him the most dominant rookie since lebron, but because of bad form at times it's also his biggest risk.

He blew his knees when he landed after he jumped and spiked the ball, Took him to the hospital and him fixed. Never played the same way again.
