Introducing the Paralympic Phryge and the Olympic Phryge, two mascots that will be the primary ambassadors of the Paris 2024 Games.
The Phryges are two little Phrygian caps that embody the French spirit, values and are a strong symbol of France.
They are the leaders of a tribe who always have their trainers on. The Paris 2024 mascots aim to lead a revolution through sport. Their mission: to get the world moving in the run up to the Games and beyond.

I bet The Phryges are going to be as acclaimed, wanted and cherished as Fiu, the cute bird mascot of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 (Chile). During their 2 weeks, there was a fever for him: people went crazy and everyone wanted a pin, plush, mug or even a photo with him. Merchandising sold out, there was almost nothing left of the Games' official online store: it was a huge success for a mascot to be. Actually, Fiu should meet The Phryges!

Looking at the mascot design for the Paris Olympics, I think only the Paralympic mascot came out well. However, there are many regrets about the mascot design for the Paris Olympics. Rather, I think that a good image of the Paris Olympics can come to mind if I design it with a rooster, which is a symbol of France, or a cute animal.

@@eternalwoomy Bro the thing don't even look like the hat. You interview people on the street who know nothing about the Olympics games you ask them ; "what does these mascots makes you think about?" Absolutely no one will reply that's it's a phrygian hat. Even the French themselves couldn't figure it out. People who say the mascot look like the hat actually never saw the hat. The only thing in common is the color.

It's the Phryges, an englification of the word "phrygien" / "phrygian", wich is the real name of those hats the mascots are based on :) They're called "bonnet phrygien" = "phrygian cap"
