The professor X plan totally tracts for his character. I know all the people rooting for him to be evil are going to be disappointed but it all makes sense now. Even his wish to make himself a martyr because typical Xavier plans are always built on him not getting a second opinion

Absolutely If people know Vulcan and the secret X-Men team that Charles Xavier sent to die, All of the secret things he's always done he's a very narcissistic morally bankrupt individual. People seem to think he's the baby Jesus and I think he's just as flawed as magneto maybe even more so. Magneto has a reason to be angry I don't know why Charles is so duplicitous?

I like how this issue explains exactly what is going on right now. I can’t wait to see what happens when Destiny runs into Mystique. The reveal in this issue is pretty strong 👏👏

This is true there is a panel where they show Xavier in year 10 and below him is Nimrod in year 100 and Librarian of year 1000 it may be foreshadowing of Xavier becoming an ally to machines and Homo Novissima

Xavier’s plot here sounds like the plot for X2: When he was used as a Doomsday weapon to kill(At first.) all mutants and then kill all humans.

TBH it sounds like a lot of convoluted explanations to just say the Phoenix died and was reborn for the 100th time. I don't really see how this is different

I might have missed something (Okay, I almost KNOW that I did! I haven’t read the X-books in a while, but I have kept up through reviews and the like, etc.), but WHEN (And how. But mostly when.) did Jean die? And when did The Phoenix Force die? Is that even POSSIBLE? I thought that it was basically existence itself.

It used to be that, eventually, yes. Like supposedly Rachel using its power too much was causing less life to develop in the future in some issue years ago. So it stands to reason that if it died altogether that all life would indeed cease after a while. But who even knows what's canon with the Phoenix anymore.

I didn't see Charley in any of the promo art, just someone else in a wheelchair, as I don't want to maybe spoil anything. As we all know life, the universe, and especially comic books are cyclical. Charles was just the big deal X-man for years during one of the best runs ever. Now who always steps up to carry on the dream almost every time Chuck goes on a little death hiatus for a couple years before usually returning attached to some sort of fake out villain plot? Purple is my favorite color anyway, so looking forward to what comes next, but not before a hopefully epic ending where they really stick the landing.

Im not liking the writing to be honest. The logic about the double negative, killing the Phoenix ect...is dumb. There is also the fact that the Phoenix is a bad antagonist for Enigma. I cant suspend belief that an AI and the universal force of the multiverse are at odds. Modern writers are bad at their jobs Also attempting Dominionhood? Excuse me? Thats not how this ever worked. As soon as the conditions are met, the network of hive minds becomes a Dominion after "Stronghold" sentience. The art is cool. The rest is ok. The story is more lame by not committing to a traitor Charles. Very predictable. A better antagonist would be another AI trying to absorb Enigma or other such intelligence so as to become a Dominion AI. Enigma would not need to worry about anything that the other already existent Dominions do not worry about. If they have existed with the Phoenix before then another Dominion could as well. This is not my cup of tea as it is
