The Philippines Proudly Welcomes You
“What I am most proud of as a Filipino is our strong will to face this fight. I hope, even after the pandemic, we continue this attitude.” 2020 has been a year of change for travel, but the Philippines is excited to invite visitors back to the beautiful islands. We worked with a team of local creators to highlight the diverse offerings in the Philippines, as well as speak to locals about their experience during the pandemic.
The opportunities for exploration in the Philippines are endless-from the Hundred Island National Park in Pangasinan to exploring the Suba and Culili Sand Dunes in Ilocos Norte.
Have you traveled to the Philippines before? If not, is it a destination on your bucket list? Let us know in the comments!

I had the honour of visiting this beautiful place last year. I visited El Nido, Cebu and Manila. They have close to 7000 islands and I barely scratched the surface. It was so beautiful there. I can not wait to visit again.

My mom's side of the family is from The Philippines. My grandparents were just teenagers in World War II, and lived in poverty for decades after. Grandpa was a preacher, and grandma was a master seamstress and owned a coconut plantation. Then they all emigrated to California in the 1970s. My mom and all her siblings went to college in the US, and ended up having long, successful careers in accounting, banking, and computer programming. My mom and I were planning to go back there on a trip earlier this year, but then the pandemic screwed everything up. There's always next year...

That’s so unfortunate for your grandparents and good to know your mom and her siblings lived well in the US. However, I’d just like to say that many of us have done well and continue to do so here in the Philippines. I love this country and wouldn’t dream of living anywhere else. I’ve traveled to many places and while I enjoyed the culture and scenery, I realized I’m not really wanting in anything here in my country, especially now that there’s palpable progress in many parts of the country. The people are it’s main attraction- the warmth is something I immediately miss when I’m out. It truly is more fun in the Philippines!
