The Philippines Plan To Reshape The Southern Island

Ойын-сауық

This is the Mindanao Railway System, and it is the biggest infrastructure project to be ever constructed in the Southernmost part of the Philippines. This proposed trans-Mindanao railway will have a network of 2,278 kilometers of track. Making it the longest rail system in the Philippines, far surpassing Luzon’s current rail capacity of 1,100 kilometers and even its future expansion to over 1,900 kilometers.

Footages are for presentation only and they may or may not represent the actual infrastructure.

I live in Mindanao near in Tagum City and I would say that it would not just going to be helpful to have an easy and safe transportation. But also it would be a Pride of people in Tagum and Digos itself especially that it would be the first in history in Mindanao that could have a railway transportation. Who would even thought that there will be a a big Projects in Mindanao. Since the big Projects only put in highly Economic cities. Like in NCR. But it would also became a start of Economic boom in Davao Region. More Infrastructure more development. Not to mention Davao Region is rich in natural resources, like Gold. Ohh man this is promising

Fuck NPA. They are the reason why Mindanao is behind. Please understand my rage. My Father was a salesman and he was about to be a hostage by NPA (it was very close) but thankfully, AFP saved my Father and his colleagues. I am Civil Engineering student and my friend's Father is one of the Engineers in the certain construction of highways. They often ask for money, take construction materials such as cements and metals, and even burn construction equipment which delays the projects which was supposed to help lots of people. Hayssss (Take note, NOT all part of Mindanao is like this. Only a very small and specified part. Majority of places are safe to travel. But then again, as an Engineer, I want to help my nation but these people only care about themselves.. Haysss)

It’s a pity the government cannot show such determination when it goes to providing the most basic of infrastructures like a reliable, always on and available to all, electricity network. Until it can build a reliable power grid for the nation it will always be regarded as a third world country. Other countries won’t invest here until we have a reliable electrical network so building train lines to transport people to jobs that don’t exist is sheer stupidity. They are just some senators wet dream vanity project.
