    How do you explain the people who stumble upon rituals and ceremonies in the woods at night or inside of abandoned buildings? Truck full of chopped up body parts etc.. even the lyrics and heavy metal speak on shit like this. Those people partaking in such ritual and ceremonies, are doing this based on beliefs alone or is this “evil magic” a proven working method? I notice how beautiful the natural landscape is there in Tennessee and can’t help but wander, why is it so evil ?

    Making art that expresses your disturbing part of your imagination can be beautiful in its own right. And like the video explains it’s also a healthy coping mechanism to let out your stress, worries, doubts, and insecurities. It’s all fun and games to say these albums are cursed. If anything it’s more of a fan’s way of selling you their favorite albums in the sub genre most rap or just music fans would miss out on. All of this is nothing more than us adults basically telling each other a spooky campfire tale.

    there's like 5 videos like this already and it's all the same thing in each one of them, the memphis scene deserves more recognition in a different light than some zoomer creepypasta format. I've been listening to memphis rap for nearly a decade now and the variety is immense as I still find tapes I haven't heard before.

    Memphis is known for Hoodoo (not confused with Voudou). It is the 2nd largest city in North America that makes Voudou paraphernalia. There’s even a store that sold these products on Beale Street, cray cray. There’s definitely a dark cloud 🌧 over my city!!!

  • @AR15andGOD

    @AR15andGOD

    hoodoo and voudou are the same thing, it's a linguistic shift responsible for the different pronunciation. It's like how the word water used to have a V sound, but we lost it and it became softer, Water. This goes even further in Germany, where they've also lost the T sound and now it's Wasser, but kept the V.

    I swear smaller content creators put more work and effort; make less generic, clickbaitie or formulaic videos; are more creative and make better content than bigger content creators e.g. Penguinz0, Sunnyv2, Mr. Breast, and Tuv. I just hate how videos like these get less attending but poorly researched, generic/ clickbait videos with flashy editing like tuv's dominate this site.

    not super relevant to this video, but it’s worth noting that chaos magic sigils are v different from the medieval (usually solomonic) symbols for summoning angels and demons. i think of chaos magic as sort of a theory of everything for magic, essentially saying that our will is what creates the magic power (similar to what thelema was getting at imo). medieval european magic, on the other hand, was usually rooted in some kind of religious (christian) idealism, in which the nature of the magic was created and defined by g*d when he created our reality. solomonic magic relies on specific rituals and sigils that were said to be given by g*d (usually thru an angel, a dream, an ancient tablet, secret codes in the bible, etc.), while chaos magic is an approach for creating ur own rituals and sigils

    been listening to Memphis Underground since the 90s. and young teens like myself we called Memphis Underground "..the rap scene of Death Metal.." and California had the same. don't believe me listen to a group called First Dgree and their album Visions of Death from 1993.

    24:08 "there's some interesting use of samples here and there" That's not a sampler. I have no idea how that picture would have come up in an image search for "sampler"; what are the chances that out of all the pictures of samplers available on the internet you would choose a picture of something that isn't a sampler. How does that happen?
